Some people took him hostage along with the truck to steal amazon Christmas packages.

The police unloaded on the truck knowing there was a hostage and killed the two people stealing the truck, the innocent ups driver, AND a woman simply driving her car by the scene.

There was absolutely no reason for any of these people to die.

4 people dead over some packages.

This is why one of the NUMBER ONE RULES for if you’re taken a hostage is: Do not let them get you in a car. Even if it means risk to yourself. If you’re at a stationary location that’s one thing, but if a car chase happens the police WILL kill you to protect property. Some police forces might at least not be so stupid as to shoot bystanders, like this was a fuck up even by the usual worthless police standards. But if you’re a hostage in a vehicle you are in a ridiculous amount of danger from police bullets.
