#there is something so special about these two characters and i don't even mean in a biased way #there is an 'outside-ness' that ben inherited from han #i don't really have the words to explain it properly #like there is something about them that's directly connected to the audience and the way we think bc we're outside of the story #and han and ben feel 'too much' for the universe despite not even being the main characters #and idk maybe it's bc harrison and adam are the best actors out of the entire main saga so they just feel next level #but i'm so glad they play father and son in a way that only they could with only like 3 minutes of screen time together #the shrug was an obvious example but every little acting choice adam made referenced han just like everything harrison did referenced #his sadness regret and frustration towards ben #they were just in their own little microcosm in the sw universe and i find it very special #anyways

Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

The idea that so many consumers of literature aren't even literate is as terrifying as it is true.

#imagine if the hunt for ben solo had flashback scenes that would've made this explicit for the general audience #ugh

I would argue that the Force literally creating a Dyad to rebalance everything is way more important than we give it credit for. I also think that, the same Force that created the Dyad, would be able to make 'the call' on whether or not Ben could fully sacrifice himself. If the Force wasn't done with him, or the Dyad, then who is to say that it could not have whisked him away somewhere? Some alternate place (like in the comics, where he somehow accesses a Force ghost haven while living????) to heal/be purified/etc? All of this to say, if the Force doesn't want Ben dead yet, then that's a good enough explanation for me to believe he could be alive. It really is that simple to bring him back and it doesn't even have to be wbw levels "complex".
