#there is something so special about these two characters and i don't even mean in a biased way #there is an 'outside-ness' that ben inherited from han #i don't really have the words to explain it properly #like there is something about them that's directly connected to the audience and the way we think bc we're outside of the story #and han and ben feel 'too much' for the universe despite not even being the main characters #and idk maybe it's bc harrison and adam are the best actors out of the entire main saga so they just feel next level #but i'm so glad they play father and son in a way that only they could with only like 3 minutes of screen time together #the shrug was an obvious example but every little acting choice adam made referenced han just like everything harrison did referenced #his sadness regret and frustration towards ben #they were just in their own little microcosm in the sw universe and i find it very special #anyways
