Part of the reason I want to see a straight-up college setting magical girl show is that I legitimately think a lot of the standard storylines would work better that way, but another part of it is that I just want to witness the drama of trying to balance magical girl antics with a full courseload. All staggering into Calculus 200 looking like hell because they were fighting zombie squid all night. Striking up a friendship with another girl based on a mutual misunderstanding where they think she’s a fellow magical girl, but she thinks they’re just really into the party scene, which eventually arouses her suspicions because they’re rolling up every morning totally wrecked from the night before, but she never sees them at any of the same parties.

and then they decide to go out together some night, but before they can commit to either clubbing (wherein magical girl is hella surprised) or monsterfighting (in which party girl is hella surprised), some zombie squid attack and magical girl does the transformation thing and party girl doesn’t even notice because she’s beating zombie squid away with a sidewalk sandwich-board sign, and once the zombie squid are taken care of they’re eyeing each other in utter shock because 1) party girl can fight pretty good without transforming (”my sister was really into karate and I had to keep up”) and 2) magical girl looks AMAZEBALLS in her sudden magical superhero outfit (“WHAT THE FUCK SHOW ME HOW”) and, yeah, they end up partners-in-crime and also girlfriends

COVID is slowly becoming a "third world" disease. While first world countries are hoarding vaccines, having doses for populations many times their size, third world countries can't get any because pharma companies want to sell to the first world countries first. Even then, first world countries will receive them first. While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.

Watch also when some first world countries finish vaccinating their populations, they will turn to third world countries and "donate" or sell surplus vaccines. So I said France, the German guy said Germany, the Maltese guy had to say Italy because almost no-one in Peru knows where Malta is, and then the American guy said Portland, like he didn’t even specify the state he just thought everyone knew where Portland is 😤

The American comments on this post are so irritating. I think that some of them don’t realise that the USA is just a country while Europe is a continent made up of different countries where you can find different religions, different autochthonous ethnicities, different languages etc; You can’t compare a single country’s diversity to the diversity of an entire continent.

We are going to see you as an American, not as a Texan or a Californian or whatever, just like you’re going to see someone from Bavaria as a German, someone from Normandy as a Frenchman or someone from Piedmont as an Italian, not as a Bavarian, a Norman and a Piedmontese. European countries have regional differences too, even more than US states yet we don’t feel the need to specify that to foreigners when they ask us where we’re from unless they ask us to elaborate.

Russia is the largest country in the world and undoubtedly more diverse than the US. If you were to ask a Russian where they’re from they would say that they’re from Russia, not Komi or Tuva unless they’re speaking to another Russian or someone they know to be familiar with Russian geography.

You’re not special nor does the world revolve around you, just accept that and move on.
