Well Zen and Ryo were apart way too much this episode for my liking. This seems to be leading up to the recognition that not sharing that they are in a relationship with others means people don't respect them as a couple, which would obviously not feel great to either of them in the long run.

Two nice moments that I enjoyed:

Ryo being so happy Zen remembered his birthday and still giving him crap about being self-involved at the same time.

And that before this drama is over, it seems pretty certain that Ryo is going to get his childhood wish of getting to take a trip with the person he loves.

I love that for them.

Futami is super annoying to me, but he does serve the important purpose of really pushing Zen and Ryo to define what makes their relationship special. It challenges them to think of themselves as a couple outside being rivals, which has been their easiest way to communicate for years. Ryo even says that - it's his way of communicating with Zen and this is going to show that they need to establish other ways if they really want to be together. Overall, I like the story, I just wish Futami didn't eat up so much screen time during such a short drama.

It's definitely a "your friend Steve" situation haha

The forgetting and being erased thing is just... twenty years of friendship that both do and do not exist at the same time. And now he's started s fight with the one person who knew his wish but doesn't any longer and it's just... it's everything because this is what the world looks like with him and yet he's still here.
