Ginny is sitting in a hospital gown in the bed while Harry is beside her, seemingly in deep thoughts.

Ginny - What? Why do you look sullen? A minute ago you were teary eyed, jumping around shouting that it's a girl. What happened suddenly?

Harry - You were right....

Ginny - Oh honey, I know I'm always. But on what this time?

Harry - I should have named Al after Remus instead.. Now i may never get the chance.

Ginny - As much as i was not thrilled with Severus being part of our son's name. You were right. Teddy should have a chance to name his son with his dad's name.

Harry - Yeah, but still.

Just then the door opened and Luna & Rolf entered.

Ginny (with wide smile) - Luna you are here. I thought you weren't back for another month.

Luna (in her trademark dreamy voice) - I can't miss my god daughter's birth can I? Where is she?

Harry - with the other babies. Come I will show the way.

Luna - Don't worry, I will find my way.

Rolf - What are you planning to name her?

Ginny - We've decided with Lily for the first name. Nothing on the middle though.

Rolf - Not Hermione or Minerva?

Harry (in a fake scandalous tone) - oh God no. As much as I love Hermione and grateful to Professor McGonagall, we are not naming our daughter those names.

Luna - you should name her Luna.

Ginny - Ummm...., Thanks for the blessing Luna but it just feels weird to name our child after people who are alive....

Luna - Oh, It's not after me.... It's after Remus. You know how he was a moon person....

Harry (excitedly) - Luna. You are genius, thank you.

Luna - Don't mention 😊

The three broomsticks scene in poa is so iconic just for the fact that mcgonagall, rosmerta, flitwick and Hagrid praise Sirius for being super smart and also James potters most trusted friend, and how they can't believe that peter was the one to hunt him down after the fact, and the entire time lupin is chilling in the castle and none of them even remember that he was part of the group too

Minerva is really sitting there like: James and Sirius, never saw one without the other, and then there was Peter who looked up to them and... Also the rest of their little group I guess, was there another one???

What I've been saying all along.

No one remembers Remus as one of the Marauders. And Sirius says in front of Remus himself that James was the best friend he ever had.

Meanwhile, Remus talks about all of them (Sirius, James and Peter) as his best friends.

We also know that Sirius made Snape go to the Shrieking Shack when Remus was there as a werewolf, not caring for either of them. Yes, we know he hated Snape. But if he was such a good friend to Remus as the fandom seems to think, wouldn't he care that he was exposing his friend's secret to their worst enemy? And wouldn't he care about what would happen to said friend of he attacked Snape?

If it hadn't been for James, Snape would have been attacked and Remus would have been expelled and locked in Azkaban. Probably even executed as a dangerous beast.

Now, we do know that he and Pettigrew sometimes took part on Sirius and James' minor misdeeds (I imagine that was about them walking around after curfew), because Harry does see those files... But the great majority of the files has only Sirius and James' names.

We also do know that Sirius and James were always together. And that Pettigrew was too coward to actively participate in major misdeeds.

But how about Remus?

I'm not saying that James, Sirius and James were not his friend. Specially James. Yes, James was an arrogant bully, but he was also a good friend. He actually helped Remus financially when ther graduated and Remus couldn't find a job due to his condition.

But Sirius didn't leave him anything in his will (even knowing that once again he couldn't work due to Umbridge's anti-werewolf law) and Peter... Well, Peter betrayed every one of them. Not just James. He framed Sirius. And Remus probably felt extremely betrayed — and guilty! — since he was the one who first befriended Peter and brought him into the group. (That's probably why he acted so cold and threatening when he found out the truth.)

So yes, we know that Remus adored his friends above everything (he had never had any friends before and the idea of losing them was a nightmare to him — he even forgave Sirius for that "trick" he played on Snape).

We also know that he considered them becoming animagi the ultimate proof of their friendship. But was that really?

Wouldn't it feel like an awesome challenge to get there and the height of thrill to be animagi, running freely though the lands accompanied by a werewolf?

So, let's just think about it: Remus saw James, Sirius and Peter as his best friends. But were they really?

The Last of Us by PadnProng. Set entirely in the First Wizarding War. Incredible Sirius' characterisation. It isn't finished but I love it anyway!

An Unexpected Attraction by thegingerhairedlass. MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE MARAUDERS FANFIC. It goes from Seventh Year to the Potters' death. Devastating. I sobbed so much the first time reading it and to this day I still have problems going through the war chapters. Anyway, it's not Blackinnon-centric but there is a lot of Sirius/Marlene here + Marlene is a very relevant character + Marlene and Sirius are written beautifully, both as character and as a couple. I will never stop recommending it, it's incredible. I feel like it's not really known bc it's not on ao3, but I think it deserves the world (it also pains me that this is not a big Marauders ff like others bc there is no Wolfstar...such a shame!!)

Sirius Black and the eleven times he fell in love with Marlene McKinnon by VellaNikola. I LOVE this one. I don’t know how many times I’ve read it, it’s so so so good. I love their chemistry here + how their history is portrayed. It feels really close to my personal hc.

Five weeks. It had been five long weeks since she’d seen her best friend, but Lily Evans could never forget James Potter’s adorably awkward, gangly limbs and stupidly short hair or the glasses that never fit his face right. It was just a given that James was disproportionate in an endearing sort of way. He had been for as long as she’d known him. The boy who came back from his summer in France, however, was not. The boy who came back from France was fit, and Lily wasn’t certain how she felt about that.

Lily liked to believe (no, she insisted) that she could handle the visions. That if she just stayed calm and clever enough, she could outwit fate like it was an overdramatic diary entry, not a prophet's fable. The trouble was, fate didn’t seem particularly interested in being rewritten. And Lily (brilliant, stubborn, and slightly sleep-deprived) was both a Seer and a Muggleborn. A cursed combination, really, when all she wanted was to kiss some cute boys, become Head Girl, and hold her friendships together without worrying she might someday dream of them all ending. It was all a bit much for a girl who also kept having visions about a certain boy with messy black hair.

Her sister’s insane house rules are driving her nuts and if she has to endure Vernon’s snoring for another day she might just have a mental breakdown. Lily is determined to succeed in her own space. There’s just one problem: they’ve both signed the lease and paid the deposit in a rental scam. So it’s cohabitate or admit defeat to their loved ones. What could possibly go wrong?

why is prisoner of azkaban your least favourite movie?

First, it opens with a pathetic wanking metaphor—boy under his covers in the dark, trying to make something white come out of the end of his wand, hiding his misdeeds from his guardian—that Alfonso Cuaron obviously thought was super clever but is really just ridiculous.

Harry’s practicing Lumos in the first scene, yet scenes later, Vernon points out that he’s not allowed to do magic outside Hogwarts so already we see the level of care that production applied to being even remotely consistent.

Cuaron is entirely focused on *~*puberty*~* and not enough on telling a coherent story. The stylistic choices were beautiful, sure, but presented a pretty backdrop to a movie that was poorly written and acted overall.

The acting is SO bad on so many fronts, seriously. By the time Gary Oldman starts shouting about how he did his waiting it’s like, finally, some good acting at last.

Why are underage wizards NOT allowed to go to the pub on the day upon which underage wizards are allowed to go to Hogsmeade? What a fucking poor business decision.

I saw this movie first with my cousin who had never read the books and when we got out she was genuinely distressed that Harry wanted to live with Sirius because everything was so poorly explained and she thought he was still a criminal. We’re never told WHY Sirius and Peter became Animagi, nor are we told that James became one at all. The origins of the Marauders Map are never explained. Nothing is explained and everything hurts.

Remus talks about Lily as if she’s the only person who ever showed him any kindness because James is chopped liver apprently.

Hermione is suddenly a perfect specimen of human/super athlete/so concerned about how her hair looks from the back that she almost gives their position away. Gets Ron’s best line.

One well-cast Expelliarmus can apparently send Snape flying into a four poster bed which then collapses on him.

Sirius trying to reason with Remus as he’s turning into a werewolf with his nonsense speech about how “this heart is where you truly live!”

Remus transformed into fucking Slenderman rather than any kind of discernible wolf.

Did Alfonso Cuaron even READ the book? Like, seriously. The whole film runs like it was made by someone who didn’t have a fucking clue what was happening, and so he decided to arthouse that shit in the hopes that nobody would notice.

Parvati turning the snake into that TERRIFYING FUCKING JACK-IN-THE-BOX WHO WOULD LAUGH AT THAT?

As a huge fan of the Marauders and Lily, POA is understandably my favourite book, and to see it (and James especially) so thoroughly shit on is actually really upsetting.

The reason that Prisoner of Azkaban is The Worst of all eight Harry Potter movies is that the line, "If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too," is given to Hermione, not just because that line said a lot about who Ron was and it was stolen from him for the sake of making Hermione seem faultless (when hahaha she was NOT), but because in the books, when he stood up on a broken leg at the age of fourteen to announce that he'd rather die than let his best friend be murdered, think of who he was saying it to and the impact that it would have had! It has to be Ron for a reason idc if people have different interpretations it's just not right or impactful for Hermione to say it, anyway I'm going back to my fic document now just wanted to get that off my chest for the fiftieth time in my life.
