Pretty Woman: A Glamorous Romp Through Love and Luxury

Probably one of my favourite romance films of all time.

A classic romantic comedy that gets a contemporary makeover in this modern era. With its fairytale-like narrative, stunning fashion, and undeniable chemistry between its leads, this cinematic gem has stood the test of time and still manages to charm audiences today. I might even go as far as saying it was the blueprint for modern “If he wants to, he will” culture of dating.

Nonetheless, Julia Roberts as Vivian, exudes a delightful blend of vulnerability and charisma. Her infectious smile and radiant energy breathe life into the character, making it impossible not to root for her.

Look, I’m really annoyed that High Fidelity was not renewed for a second season.

I often feel like there is such a gap between “teen/high school/coming of age” shows & “middle-aged divorced/ marriage issues” dramas. Sometimes we need something in between.

The heartbreaks & dramas that come in the college years... we need series about that. Because let’s be honest... if you’re not exactly still in high school experiencing all things “Euphoria”, but you’re also not exactly at that age where you’re running a household like Big Little lies or Little Fires everywhere, where exactly do you fall under? Wheres the playbook for the college years or the never ending dilemmas you face in your mid-twenties?

This show was that for me. How Zoe Kravit’s character- Rob, hadn’t exactly had it all figured out. It gave a realistic idea of what the transition into adulthood actually looks like.

I’m upset at Hulu for not renewing this. Do better sis.
