LOCATION: Evelyn’s House WHO: @evie-dawson
An exasperated sigh fell from Leo’s lips as he plopped down on Evelyn’s couch placing his hand on his forehead as if he was one of those women in the dramatic films. “I cannot believe Felix stole my birthday month and not only that, he was born on Valentine’s Day. It should have been me.” He commented. “Oh, and dear ole pops things it is time for me to get another job. As if there are any opportunities in this one horse town,” he grumbled.
Turning on his side, he cuddled with one of the pillows. “Well my life is a train wreck, what has been going on with you? How is work and everything?” He questioned. “Tell me something juicy, because it has been a very boring day at my house. Apparently wine and sleeping isn’t all that it is cracked up to be.”
Each of the many Dawson siblings had different traits that Evie adored, each one unique in their own way; and this flare, this theatrics is what she loved about Leo. It was after all a large part of what made him, well him. With warm affection she ran fingers ever so lightly through his hair and along the forehead during his bemoan. There really wasn’t any advice or direction she could offer him, he spoke the truth. A soul like Leo’s flourished brightly in a city rather than a small town like their home. Not even she could think of a job or position to fit such a man.
“I’m alright,” Evie offered as she finished getting them a pair of drinks to nurse while on her worn down couch. It was, like the rest of her house, in the process of a budget refurbishing so she’d draped it with several blankets and pillows to cover the unfinished work. Tedious work kept her busy and she liked to be busy. Occupy her mind. Like taking care of her company right now. “The film feature this weekend is Gone with the Wind so I’m excited for that, hopefully it’ll be a decent turn out.” Might not be the gossip or drama Leo was looking for but she hoped it might be something to perk his mood even a little. “Other than that I’m pleasantly mundane.” She sighed to him, mournful there wasn’t more to offer him and crinkled her nose while adding, “I did get my sultry mistress house robe in yesterday from Ebay and it only slightly smells of cigarettes.”
