I'd wanted to do it for ages, but I'm glad someone else did it instead. :) There's also the scene where Kuai Liang gets taken by the Lin Kuei instead of Tomas (because it was Smoke's fate to be automated), Tomas tries to stop it from happening, but Raiden doesn't let him, and all Tomas can do is watch helplessly, and he looks heartbroken.

If anybody wants to know what a wasted potential looks like, all of the Kuai Liang/Tomas scenes from Mortal Kombat 9 are the epitome of it, because NRS in their later games ditch it all (among other things, such as consistency and character origins).

No wonder MK9 is Midway's swan song. In case someone doesn't know, while it was made under NRS label, it was, for the most part, developed by Midway's people, and it's those people's last game. The characters feel right and the original timeline is treated with respect, even though that's when the timelines split.

I apologise for, sort of, hijacking your post, laian2109. I'm very emotional about this game.

其实奎烟不得不品的一点就是，托马斯是被动带回林鬼在林鬼中训练然后为他们做事的，他在林鬼无依无靠，他没有选择。当奎良离开林鬼后，也许他问过托马斯是否想回到故乡，这样就不用陪他过这样类似于逃亡的生活，但是托马斯毫不犹豫地选择了和奎良走。之后到了白井流也是训练自己，完成宗师布置下的任务，但是这次是他自己的选择，这是他自己选择的人生。
