Pushkin press replied to one of my instastories "hating" on the new Yokomizo book cover and Im so embarrassed. As their biggest fan and promoter of their honkaku stuff I thought they would send me free stuff one day but now it will never happen RIP. They were super nice about it though considering me being super negative
they make me so happy and at home for some reason i just can’t explain it but they feel like family
Im Rewatching the pilot:) the girls
maestro grammy. we deserved this
that feminine energy I havent figured it out yet
or whatever he said

woah
just let me RPF in peace man
Also this is my ranking of (shin)honkaku books translated by Pushkin Vertigo!
kindaichikun
various sketches
The Little Sparrow Murders was so cool but the last minute reveal of Isokawa being the narrator caught me so off guard and made me think about the inconsistencies of the narrators in all the books. Once its Kindaichis patron, once its a mystery writer, once its someone actually involved in the murder.
Village of the Eight Graves is my favourite book in Yokomizos translated catalogue even though 90% of it doesent even have Kindaichi! All thanks to the narrator being the one in danger it gives you this sense of anxiety for him even though you know he lived to tell the story. Its also one of the worst tragedies in all of the books (yes Im powerscaling family members killing eachother in 70 year old books)
