Hollis had caught your eyes in school despite never talking to him, and for a while he remained a secret to keep to yourself. What happens when he finds out about your little secret?

He caught your eye a couple months back. In fact, he had been staring at you but that look that Hollis gave you made something flicker within you and ever since then you have had a crush on Hollis.
Hollis was what most would call a hallway crush. It became almost a routine to spot him on your routes going from class to class, and as months passed and these routines became habit it almost felt like Hollis noticed you. It was subtle, but you could swear that slowly but surely Hollis began to pop up more often on your walks in between classes. It was as if he was shifting his ways to class to entangle with yours.
But that was crazy, you’ve never talked to Hollis and most of the information you dug out about came from mutual friends and what some might deem ‘stalking’ (you called it investigation). For the most part you kind of just kept the stunning tall blonde in a small corner tucked in the back of your mind; a small private indulgence that you tried to keep to yourself.
Sometimes it is too tempting to share your secrets with other and alas you decided that your girlfriends would be a group that you could trust. Your group of friends was small there were only four of you, and for the most part you trusted them.
During your study hall during the last period of the day on a friday you decided to spill your guts to your friends.
“Hollis? No way, Girl.” Angela, your best friend since first grade blurted almost immediately.
“Y/N, he’s so chopped.” Rebecca chimed in.
“He’s not chopped, oh my god, I don’t know what you guy’s issues is!” You retorted.
“Y/N, he’s a Soundcloud rapper, he’s clearly evil. Any musically inclined man is a manipulator, that’s like common knowledge.” Angela said. Angela had a tenancy to mock most and many men on the basis that she just did not really like guys like that.
“Y/N, you cannot like him.” Mae cut in with a serious tone. You weren’t exactly close with Mae, Mae was moreover Angela and Rebecca’s friend. You could never were besties per se but you and Mae could get along to a degree. But you could always tell something was off with her.
“Did I never tell you guys about the talking stage I had with him?” Mae continued. “He fucking ghosted me, and besides that he was just an overall creep.”.
Mae always did this, it was typically subtle but she always found a way to center conversations around herself and it just so happens that you gave her yet another opening to garner pity. Angela and Rebecca’s reaction to your response were joking, you knew that. But Mae? You weren’t sure about how serious she was.
“Mae why didn’t you ever tell us that? That’s fucking crazy.”
“See Y/N? I told you musically inclined men make manipulators.”
And from there on out you decided to tune out the conversation as it shifted towards Mae as Rebecca and Angelica pry for details of Mae’s supposed situationship with Hollis that was never mentioned before today. As much as you tolerated Mae you secretly hated her, you always felt this weird jealousy coming from her and sometimes she mad it feel like a fight for attention in between you and her for your mutual friends. But Angela and Rebecca would never suspect that from either of you. Besides you were too afraid of losing the group you had you mostly just let Mae do as she pleased, even if it annoyed the shit out of you.

You had left school in a sour mood mostly because of Mae, why did he have to one up you in everything you did? Why couldn't you have just this one thing? And just as you were beginning to enter an angry cycle of thought something snapped you out out of you train of thought.
You took your phone out to a notification from instagram.
Holli2.Fraz has requested to follow you.
Did he hear your conversation somehow, was he psychic? Was this karma for having an romantic interest in anyone? Or was this just some weird fucking coincidence.
You debated accepting him, your account was private but that did not mean it was not good. At this point you were proud of how your layout looked, so what's the worst that can happen?
Just about five minutes after approving his request you received your first notification from him.
