My first EVER YouTube video. My dog is super funny and I finally took the time to record him. If you'd like, you could also give some feedback, subscribe and follow me on Twitter @logicdiary317. There will be more videos like this, possibly some of those interesting story time videos, reaction videos, I might try it all. To all that see this: I hope you have a nice day wherever you are in the world.
If you get this message, do not open any links. Today this attacked my galaxy s4 three times!! I'm so frustrated. Not only does it pop up in the middle of reading something interesting but makes a very annoying sound as well that drove my dog nuts. This is a generic message and I've seen screen shots identical to the one I took. ***Whether you've experienced this or not, repost so more people can be made aware*** I tried to find somewhere to report it because I've found other cases online as well but with no luck. So I'm going to the last resort: social media. So please, tumblr friends, spread the word so no one accidentally opens the link to the "virus clean up" software (spoiler alert: the virus alert IS the virus so don't click the link)
After my appointment at a doctors office, I took a trip to the bathroom on my way out and saw this. At first it made me laugh but at a second thought, I didn't like it. First of all, an "employees much wash their hands" sign should be enough but they went one further and added that they shouldn't have to be reminded. That makes me think that these doctor's and nurses walk around with soiled hands until something reminds them. These people are supposed to be professionals so they should be well aware of how to wash their hands and when to do it. Doesn't give off very good signals to patients. Makes me wonder where their hands had been before I was in the exam room. 😮
You don't need religion to be a good person:
Today, my neighbor's dog got loose and nearly ran into the road. They're an older couple, both retired, and I only noticed when I heard all the shouting. So I got up and looked out the window to see this puppy running around dodging their hands and getting dangerously close to the road. I was in my pajamas watching this when I had a sudden desire to help. I threw on a sweatshirt and sneakers and went out to assist without even thinking twice. Eventually the dog was snatched up and brought to safety and they were grateful for my help. My point, I didn't need anyone to tell me it's the right thing to do such a thing, I acted on my basic impulse on wanting to help people. It just so happens that there is a decent layer of snow on the ground and I ran out there in my pajamas, a sweatshirt and sneakers. I didn't even think about the cold because my first instinct was to save the dog from becoming another car accident statistic. Upon getting back inside my house, I was met with my grandfather who mentioned nothing about my act but instead went right for my lack of proper winter clothing. He obviously didn't understand that I saw the task as more important than bundling up. I see it as, in the time it would take to get ready to go outside, the dog could've been hit and my neighbors would have been devastated. Ultimately, I see that some people don't see the needs of others sometimes need to be met before personal needs. It's a very unselfish way of thinking and crucial to communal survival. I would feel awful if I put my needs before theirs in this situation if the outcome was to be the death of a family pet; in extention, a member of their own family, as people do make pets part of their core family unit. I would run outside in the same fashion if it were my own dog (whom I love dearly) so I don't see the difference because the general idea is saving a life. You're probably asking what I got out of it by now. "You" being the reader, of course. Honestly, I don't need to get anything out of helping someone. It's simply the right thing to do with no questions asked. If you're capable of it, you should do it. I did get something out of it, though. I grew up my entire life living next door to these people and not once had we introduced ourselves to each other properly. So I suppose a friendly relationship between neighbors being formed over helping each other was a gift in itself. I'll take that over asking for compensation any day. The difference between myself and my grandfather is pretty simple. He believes a higher power was at work and what was the cause for the outcome. I believe the contrary. My lack of hesitancy was what saved a life and I didn't need instruction to do so. It was reflexive as blowing one's nose. And would you believe it, I'm a proud atheist! I have constructed my own set of morals throughout the span of my life that tell me the preservation of life in so important because of the effect it has on others.
One of my biggest pet peeves: morons who don't think they're morons
Requiring photo identification to vote should be mandatory. Voter fraud has been a huge problem in the past and it's time to squash that problem like a bug. If you need ID for things such as buying alcohol or driving a car, you should definitely need one to partake in an election that effects everyone in the country.
Pass it on if you agree...
Why Are So Many Horror Films Christian Propaganda? / via
That's easy enough to answer; their beliefs and writings are horrifying as it is, might as well capitalize on it by scaring the "hell" out of people
Worth a repost in my opinion lol
There is a commercial for this flashlight that consists of a very bright strobe light that shines directly into the eyes of the viewer. As someone who has epilepsy and is photosensitive, I don't appreciate having to cover my eyes with a pillow during the commercial just so it doesn't set me off again. I don't think strobe lights should be featured on television because there is a number of people in this earth who may be affected by it. It's very insensitive so I think it should be known: STROBE LIGHTING SHOULD NOT BE SHOWN ON TELEVISION COMMERCIALS.
Donald or Hilary? That's a tough one but...
I don't like either of the 2 presidential candidates very much so I decided to make it easy for myself by weighing out the lesser of the 2 evils. First, made a list of everything one does that I like, then another for what I disagree with; continue same thing with the other. Compare the 2 then... throw the damn thing out. My decision is based on the fact that MAYBE we shouldn't have Bill in the white house again. I don't like that idea very much and lately it does seem like he's been trying to sabotage his wife's campaign. My bigger question: why didn't she divorce him when he had that affair IN OFFICE? And furthermore, I feel like having already lived at the white house should make you unable to run for office. You'd already know too much about the way it works and are biased before even packing your bags to move in. Go ahead and say trump is degrading to women, maybe he is. But then again most men are so where's the surprise in that? I've had to slap/hit/punch my male friends for saying snide comments. I do like the fact that he stands by legal citizens and isn't opening his arms to more people who come in the country without a shed of knowledge of how anything works just because where they come from may suck worse than here. Then what happens? They get free lunch, cell phones, cars (no license), jobs, etc on American tax dollars. The honest people who pay taxes are paying the way for people who live for free and pile more people into their homes, cluttering up the place like crazy. They litter, they drive without a license and get away with it, they keep way too many people in a residence and they take jobs away from people who are paying all these taxes. I'd vote trump just so I can maybe stop seeing these people get away with it so much. The illegals in the country don't know the laws, don't follow them then play the minority card when they do get in trouble. It's nonsense so let's please just clean up the country.
For all you true harry potter fans: don't bother with this "book", it's actually just a screenplay. Apparently JK Rowling cheated us out of a much deserved 8th installment to the wonderful series. Instead of taking the time and her genius writing skills and giving us a complete novel, she cut corners and allowed someone else to turn it into a damn screenplay! I, myself, have first edition copies of all 7 books and grew up with them. Now I'm severely disappointed. We deserve the full story because of the intriguing epilogue at the end of the deathly hallows. What's up with this? Why disappoint all the fans world wide with a subpar literary SCAM? I think you owe us all a pretty penny because this was a waste of money and a waste of my time. If you haven't already obtained a copy, don't bother. It doesn't even fit into the original tale. It's quite pathetic actually and I'm very pissed off and disappointed in my once favorite author!
Anyone remember the Johnny Cab from 1990s Total Recall? I don't know about the mass population but I'm about ready for this guy to replace all cab drivers everywhere. Maybe then, no one will have to explain 5 times how to get to where they need to be or be overcharged
Finally won a game of minesweeper!
