Dear members... We’re closing down. (for now)
First off, on behalf of all of the admins, we just want to say that we’re thankful for all of the members who have played an extreme part in allowing this collective to be filled to the brim with creativity and inspiration. It’s sad to say, but it seems that lately evteka has become more of a day-to-day type of collective, where we just seem to be going through the necessary motions. We were invented in the hopes of not just becoming the type of collective you join because it’s trendy and you want to put your name on a contact list. However, as the admins grow weary and tired trying to do too many things at once, we’re afraid that’s exactly what we’ve become. Evteka has drifted away from what it set out to become, and that is okay! But, there’s no sense in running a place that is not serving it’s purpose… Let alone one that the admins do not feel proud to represent anymore. We’re going to close down the collective, we will return to you with a new perspective on the same goal we have always had. When we re-open, evetka will run as a collective 100% focused on writing and engagement activities. No welcomes, no welcome council, no aim chats, no buddy system. Our goal will be to become more user friendly, less over-whelming, and more activity focused. Basically: Imagine evteka JUST as xiprompts, except BETTER. The masterlist will be starting from scratch completely. Turn on the post notifications if you would like to know when we are going to begin taking reservations for the grand re-opening!
