Idea for the third scream movie for sam carpenter. Sam gets genuinely framed for a crime she didn't commit this time and gets sent to a pysch ward. Maybe that boyfriend she had in the second movie gets murdered. While the rest of the core four try to prove her innocence. While the rest of the core for are trying to dodge ghost face Sam has to try and keep her sanity because her mental illness is getting worse from this terrible pysch ward they sent her. The twist is that the killer is her mother who hates Sam for ruining her life. But also for dragging tara into danger. There's only one killer in this but Sams mom makes her think there's multiples because Sam's mom works in robotics and tech. Eventually Sam says the day from escaping the pysch ward. Billy and Stu have tons of fans in there and help her get out. To add. Stakes Tara dies saving her sister. Her mom kills her by mistake because she was trying to kill Sam.

Basically how I'd do the movie.

I like this version much better.

Sam, Mindy, and Chad take care of and help each other get through the grief of losing Tara. They’re broken, but alive. And now they have a real chance at life, especially Sam, thanks to Tara’s sacrifice.

I’d even take a version of the story where Sam is the one who sacrifices herself to save her sister and/or friends. It all makes more sense over her forsaking all of them and what they went through by becoming exactly what they fought so hard against.
