im currently at the location of the recently active recordings (on an alt) and nothing that screams 'your character is being logged on their name/location/recent activity, and heres a link to their lodestone and any known alts' from another player character (im on limsa lominsa jenova rn), heck i dont even know if the person doing the data harvesting is from jenova, for all i know they travelled from dynamis or crystal to be here, just existing near this mystery player is enough to get your character logged on this site unknowingly

you can report it via square enix's support site -> Materials Usage License Violation Report -> report type: excessive processing/modification

You can also submit removal requests below, assuming it doesn’t die from too many requests again or doesn’t get infinitely stuck on “failed anti-bot request” (you can also hide your character using the plugin but don’t download this)

Hi sorry to pop in but as with previous stalker sites, please dont submit ANY of your info to this site, or ANY other stalker plugin related site. especially dont give them info that identifies your character details. The 'removal' request form is a honeypot to get information associated with your character.

The best way to protect yourself is to private your character on lodestone. There are limits to how much info the stalker can pull and thankfully SE's measures to obfuscate what player account is associated with what character is working. Please don't volunteer that info.

I don’t see what information the removal forms that they don’t already have though, as it can be done solely off the character name and world which is already in the database, but use your own discretion there.

This is specifically referring to hiding the data also, not removal which will need contact information or a legal request.

If previous implementations of this site are any indication, simply visiting the site is info the plugin dev has on you. Memoria.gg (previous implementation of this exact thing) logged IP addresses and anything searched in the site. So theoretically, you telling them a character name then associates your IP address with that character.

Memoria asked for a discord as part of its takedown, for example, which doesn't give the dev any related email but if you use the form your discord can then be associated with the character. You are also not guaranteed that the info actually gets hidden or is taken down. The dev has stated that the info gathered by Memoria is being stored in a non public database in case of a takedown and who knows who has access to that.

Seems private lodestone is the way to go for sure then.

Funniest thing ffxiv has ever done is still the window that shows up when youre turning in one of the later stages of the arr relic that your weapon only has a 1.4% chance of not breaking but actually its 100% & the game is literally taking the piss out of you. Why would they do that
