Lindy had been reluctant at first to accept the invitation to the party. It’s not that she couldn’t enjoy a good party, because she did. But working in a club multiple nights a week helped her get her fill. Why would she want to spend her nights off in the sort of environment. Still, after everything with Abby, Lindy figured that she could use a night to let loose. And a bonfire in the woods was very different from a night in a club. She personally would have liked another beach bonfire, but understood why this one was in the woods. Still, it was a bit of a relief for her when Pace came up and asked to get out of here. “I’m ready to get out of here.” She replied, draining her own glass and following his lead. “You’re welcome to stay on my couch, you know that.” She probably should have gotten an apartment with a second bedroom, with how often she offered her couch to her friends, but she hadn’t been thinking about that when she picked it out.
Pascal smiled as Lindy replied, happy that she was agreeing with him that they were both ready to leave the bonfire. He watched as she downed the rest of whatever she was drinking and he nodded patiently. “Thanks, Linds,” He said, using a nickname he copped for her awhile back. “I actually don’t mind sleeping on couches,” Pace explained. “They’re definitely more comfier than floors,” He joked and then glanced around before beginning to walk alongside Lindy as they worked on exiting the forest. “...Did you have a good time, though?” Pascal asked about the bonfire they were currently leaving. “It’s nice to kick back and not have to think about work, or just shit going on in our lives, you know?”
