One just knows that, for the rest of his life, whenever Oliver Wood heard Harry Potter's name mentioned, he'd be like, "Yes, of course, the Gryffindor seeker, best one we ever had too, I went to school with him" and if anybody said anything about Harry being known for anything else, Oliver Wood would look genuinely puzzled, and ask, "Such as?"

But really can you imagine how much fun Harry would have had with an animagus as a father? James giving little five year old Harry stag-rides on his back prancing along in the backyard, James going to âmow the lawnâ and then Harry looks out his window and dies of laughter when he sees a stag just casually grazing the grass, Harry yelling âDAD!â when he sees an antler poking out of a bush as he tries to have a moment with Ginny.
And idk I feel like James would turn every now and then just to clear his head if heâs feeling overwhelmed and one night Harry canât sleep because of similar reasons and he goes to the backyard and sees a stag sitting on the grass and he doesnât say anything but Harry goes over sits down next to James and just stays there because itâs so easy and so natural and not weird at all.

#except one night itâs a legit stag right#but harry is like man dad i never noticed ginny before#but now sheâs dating DEAN THOMAS#i mean really#dean thomas???#but sheâs ronâs lil sis#man idk#and the stag sort of nods at harry#and harry takes it as encouragement#and continues on a long winded and melodramaic spiel about unrequited love#as teenagers are wont to do#and maybe an hour later#sirius rocks up#and is like#yo h man have you seen your old man#and harry gives him this look#and nods at the stag RIGHT BESIDE HIM like r u srs#and sirius stops#and gives him the stink eye you know#like#âyeah buddy thatâs not prongsâ#and harry looks at the stag#and the stag looks at harry#and without saying a word#and a little quicker than is exactly dignified#harry gets to his feet and makes his way immediately to his room where he spends the rest of the night#and when sirius tells james about it later#they make sure to laugh about it#loudly#and directly beneath harryâs window

Okay but likeâŠevery professor at Hogwarts would have to do the exact same mental math as Arthur, and then realize that heâs Harry freakinâ Potter, and redo their math AGAIN.
Arthur sits down at the table. As he picks up a piece of toast, his eyes sweep the table, ready to greet his family.
âGood morning childr-â.
He stops when he spots a young boy with fiery red hair and fringe. The child is also wearing old clothes that once belonged to Charlie and round glasses on his face. Arthur sees his family looking at each other at the confusion this brings him. Molly speaks up.
âHarry, would you care for more eggsâ?
âYes, please. Thank youâ.
Arthur breathes a sigh of relief. No child of his would be so polite. He didnât forget anyoneâŠthis time.

remember when harryâs clothes were always too big for him because he was a stick of a child. remember when ron hit a growth spurt, ended up taller than half his siblings and realistically, all his clothes became too small. what if they just- what if they swapped
little tiny harry having clothes that were given to him by someone who loves him for the first time, having clothes that actually fit him, having clothes that feel like family.
lanky youngest son ron getting clothes that have barely be worn (because dudley got everything he ever wanted and had too many clothes to count, let alone wear regularly), trousers that donât stop above his ankles, clothes that are only his and not bill and percy and fredâs first.
harry and ron started swapping clothes and never stopped. they are now fifty and donât know who owns what. it is a reoccurring issue
