Blueberry Orchid backstory snippet

Her fathers walked out of the building with her sickly body, moving towards the bench and sitting down. It seemed they had no plans to leave until they found out what had happened to her.
Her body was burning up; it was as if she was fire given physical form, restlessly thrashing around in the blue arms of her dad, her warm throat finding it hard to hold back her nausea and her warmer head finding it harder to think.
"Blueberry Orchid Cookie," Her dad muttered, panic barely restrained in his raspy voice and let run entirely loose in his eyes, his hands struggling to not pull her as close as he could. "What did they do in that place..?"
She racked her brain as best as she could, her arms trembling as she tried to put her memories to use, her muscles so tight she felt as if they might freeze up.
Bright white lights. Talking, lots of talking. Firm but cushion-like platforms with a rough sheet that made a paper sound.
Needles. Many, many needles, poking at her arms and legs. Her body being picked up, her hands being guided where to go as they ran tests.
The *beep, beep* of large screens. Big machines, ones with no metal allowed. Imagery in strange shades of grey, white, and a blue that reminded her of her father's bangs.
Big words, small tablets. Tablets that made her feel off. Glossy and smooth tablets that she could not chew, rough and dry tablets that she had to chew, long and short, wide and thin.
Graphite dragging across paper. Wooden boards that held it upright and allowed for writing. Questions that appeared along with them.
It had been too much information for her to convey in her current state, her heart trying to beat out of her chest as she chased after the memories and caught them just before they slipped away.
"..Needles.." She rasped, every bit of effort being put into not gagging rather than speaking. "Tab..lets..."
Although she herself could not feel, she thought she had known the look of anger on other people's faces. Lips curled down, eyebrows turned up at the back and down at the front, eyes hostile towards their target. That was how she remembered anger.
True fury, however, she had apparently never known. Not until that moment.
Her dad that had held her trembling, weak body in his arms stilled, taking a sharp breath in. His eyes widened and his pupils went razor-thin, curling his fingers around her.
She wished she was surprised. She wished she could have widened her eyes against her own will, she wished her breath would have hitched without her noticing, she wished, wished, wished.
"..Nilly." He growled under his breath, his legs shaking with effort to not abruptly move with his daughter still in his arms.
"Take Blueberry Orchid Cookie with you."
Her other dad nodded, anger clear in his eyes if not in his face, setting down her younger sister on his lap and taking her weakened body into his embrace.
She watched him go as her sister prodded at her reddened cheek, tracing his figure even with her eyesight blurred by delirium. She could hardly think anymore, feeling as if she was detached from her shaky body, her head leaning against her father's soft white robes.
She felt big hands colder than her cup her face, a pair of eyes burning into her. It took her a few seconds to process the salty teardrop that had fallen onto her forehead.
"..Shit." Her father's soft, shaky voice mumbled.
