Gonna try to be more active here right now soooo, I think it's time I do a proper introduction!

Hello, I'm Exotic! Yes, that Exotic from like Twitter (we shall not speak on that), Instagram, or YouTube.

Basically here to yap about anything I'm interested in...and most of the time, it's about Aiden from Disventure Camp. Why him? Because he's a huge comfort character of mine and I like to look into things I'm interested in...and he's also my main hyperfix soooo hey!!!

I also tend to yap about other things aside from Aiden such as Huntess or LakeAra but that's really rare. I'm not a heavy reblogger but...I do so occasionally.

What if I told you all that I made an AU when I woke up this morning where Hannah and Aiden swap seasons?

This would most likely be an FvF centric fic with a hint of Jaiden in it.

Hannah's arc in canon happens in DC2 and she has a strong relationship with Lake/Rosa and she serves a different purpose in the TomJake plot. She also has a friendship with Hunter.

Aiden behaves as he does in canon FvF when he appears in DC4 and he bites him in the ass when he has little friends and a bunch of enemies...yikes (he also has his canon FvF design when competing in DC4).

Yes, I will be dropping the AU DC5 designs for Aiden, James, and Hannah eventually (Hannah and James retain the same designs for DCAS).

I might release elimination orders soon but for now, here's the placements of the DC2/DC4 returning Favorites (I put TBA cause of spoilers but I have already decided SOME of the eliminations for this AU).

I really do hope Aiden realizes that the game isn't healthy for him and decides to seek a therapist.

I mean, it was my predicted conclusion for the character in regards to Fans vs. Favorites but I guess we can't have everything, can we?

Does this mean anything for my take on FvF? We'll see but for now, I'll leave it at this.

So uh...I might be doing a rewrite for Fans vs. Favorites. Is it too soon to do it? Well yes! Do I care? No!

And before I get comments: "Why is Jake here instead of Tom?"

Now, here's my answer to this: Just trust the process. (If you want a proper explanation, it's something you'd ask my sister on her tumblr acc, she will most likely do the explanations herself since she's the one who actually gave me the idea to replace Tom with Jake.)

So…It’s been a while since I last made one of these.

I recently watched episode 8 of Disventure Camp 5 on Saturday, EXTREMELY disappointed in the elimination. I genuinely thought they were gonna do more with Aiden but NOOOO….they made it so obvious that they brought him back into the season simply just to humiliate him in the musical episode.

Speaking of that, the Fans team REALLY should’ve gotten the win this episode, I don’t give 2 flying fucks if the “Fan-Favorites” team deserved it more. Aiden, Oliwia, and Ren did super well & did better, if it weren’t for Nina’s irrelevant & negative having ass coming back JUST to score Aiden a 2 simply because of Nina’s bitch-ass talking about some “eternal damnation for the next millennium” thing from nearly 2 years ago, the Fans could’ve taken the win but of course they brought back the irrelevant ass puppet nobody gave 2 shits about & nobody even likes in general just to set up Aiden….🫩🫩

Let’s talk about that so-called “elimination” now…

I don’t get why the fuck EVIE of all people switched up on Aiden within the next couple minutes after the challenge, like come on, he’s LITERALLY the reason why your wrinkly botched lips having ass is STILL competing in this fucking game..If it weren’t for Aiden, YOU would’ve been eliminated in Episode 3 instead of Ernesto…😭😭

I have never turned on a character this quick until Evie wanted to talk about some “we don’t let him…alright ladies, I have a plan” bullshit.. Evie, you DO realize that after this massive mistake you made, you’re gonna get targeted BIG time now that the dude that has constantly saved you from elimination is now gone thanks to your actions, right?

Genuinely, this elimination (if you can even call it that) made ZERO sense whatsoever, ZEROOO…This only happened because they brought back Nina’s irrelevant ass that nobody in this fandom really gave a fuck about in general to make Aiden lose…Wow, Jared EXTREMELY good decision you made right there!! Just great! This would totally not have the Aiden fans get all pissed off that you’re treating him like shit so far in this season over on DCTWT (seriously guys, they were ALL pissed off yesterday that they wanted to attack people that work on the show, the whole house was fucking mad alright..and it was probably not a very good idea on their behalf)

Also, why didn’t they just bring Derek back? Or just have Trevor and Emily be the judges..?? Was Derek’s VA busy with something or what?

Overall, i’m really disappointed in the way they wrote Aiden’s elimination in general (yes, the elimination was this serious that I was insulting Evie 🫩). It felt like they just wanted a way to throw Aiden under the bus last minute & they just HORRIBLY wrote the elimination. Were they high while writing the elimination?? Definitely…

Last but not least, i’m also disappointed that there wasn’t ANY Patreon readings. What makes it worse is that Brandon (aka Viester) has an audio of himself reading the Patreons, but for some reason…Odd Nations didn’t use it, even he was somewhat confused also over on Twitter. (he did eventually uploaded the audio through the Disventure Camp Discord server a couple hours after the episode aired)

Speaking of that, Aiden was crying before reading the Patreons (my baby ☹️☹️ they didn’t deserve to treat you like this in the musical episode out of all episodes).

Another thing I would like to mention is that Aiden was calling Riya a bitch…Viester, I love you with all of my heart but PLEASE be a bit more aware of the things you are saying next time, I don’t want another Finn situation all over again with Aiden 😭😭..(I’m pretty sure that the Patreon readings are improv from the VAs, correct me if i’m wrong. Also, that line coming from Aiden just seemed so out of character for him to say about Riya. What happened to calling her a monster, Aiden?)

Overall, Aiden Brooks…you deserved better writers that actually care about your development, story, your potential arcs, and so much more instead of having a group of writers that find a opportunity to shelve your development/story/potential arcs away & humiliate you in every way possible just for the sake of it. (yes, it is that serious, im tired of ONC treating Aiden like this in general)

Sorry if I sounded really mad, I just hate it when Odd Nations constantly treat Aiden like this and its especially pissing me off, especially with the way they wrote his elimination in Episode 8.

(And I might be considering taking a burnout from DC5 until the Rescue Island episode releases)

And also, Aiden fans, please support Brandon (Viester) on his other projects for now on until the Rescue Island/Comeback episode(s) will eventually release if you want to hear his voice in other projects rather than in Disventure Camp!

So uh...everyone I want you to follow me on this idea I had in my head.

The reason why Aiden wants to be an actor so badly is because he's USED to it, used to pretending to be someone else that he knows he's not.

I mean think about it, he was in the closet for so long (he states that it was only until adulthood where he came out as trans in a greeting; not sure which greeting and hopefully, I'm able to find it) so he had to pretend to be someone he's not. Maybe he used acting as an outlet to stop hiding himself but even so, he still had to pretend whether he liked it or not.

He just convinces himself that he wants to be an actor for other reasons outside of that...but maybe, he'll come a realization and he can find his true passion.

so can we all agree that Aiden attended a catholic school for most of his youth? and it explains a lot, actually:

the social anxiety- he thought people would think he was weird and never took the chance to befriend them out of fear of rejection

the trust issues- he's dealt with 'fake friends' who gave him trust issues and anxiety. maybe he had friends pre-transition at this school who rejected him later down the line?

the parents (this is more of a headcanon)- Aiden hardly mentions his dad when compared to his mom, and he says that he didn't want to bother his mom, with that being the reason he moved out of her house. I have a feeling that they kept him enrolled at that school despite the expected backlash because they were trying to push the image of 'perfect Christian child' onto him

nina (again, another headcanon)- call me evil but I think it would be sooooo dope if after his encounter with Nina where she cursed him, Aiden literally stayed up at night thinking that she was some sort of God-sent punishment for his sexuality and identity. probably nowhere near close to canon but it's a fun though

but regardless. Aiden did, in fact, grow up Christian. he considers himself one, even if 'non-practicing.' I do think that he was, in fact, raised by the catholic school system.

Thinking about the Karol/Aiden dynamic and I had a fun hypothetical in my mind...

What if Karol kickstarts an Aiden villain arc instead of the Riya villain arc we had in canon?

Of course, I would love to write this "What If" someday and maybe I will but for now, it'll be just a fun scenario that's going to remain in my head with the many other Aiden scenarios as well.

I think Aiden Brooks straight-up is neurodivergent (Specifically ASD, Autism or ADHD/ADD, now I MAY BE WRONG BUT JUST STICK WITH ME.), and I have reasons for thinking so (some of them are not fully accurate, but this is from research i've done multiple times as someone who watched Disventure Camp since its debut as Total Drama : Adventure) :

1. Repetitive behaviors : In season 2, he said 'shut up' literally every second.

2. Hyperfixations : He INTENSLY loves musicals and got excited in both musical episodes when it was told the challenge is the musical challenge. (Now im gonna name an eh example) One of the reasons he was close to Evie is because of the 'advantage', and he was hyperfixated on it ever since he joined the fans.

3. Hyperactivity : When he gets excited, he sorta 'bounces' around, mixed with the hyperfixations for musicals, in his musical performances (Which were Piggyback and Sleepaway), he does the performances with a lot of energy and emotion.

4. Impulsivity / Emotional Sensitivity (I'll call it that cuz im unsure) : He gets intense emotions, whether he is happy or upset/disappointed

5. Difficulty in newer environments : This one is kinda confusing but its also understandable. In season 2, for starters, he was kinda wierded out when James gave him that side-hug, you remember? He also seemed surprised when Oliver spoke to him and he seemed at a somewhat loss-of-words and nervous. And in season 5, when he joined the fans team, idk if its just me but he seemed kinda pissed and shit and in the latest episode (SPOILER), he wanted Ara, Nura and Evie to help him vote Oliwia out to be able to merge and get back to his friends, and why would that be? Because he has gotten used and feels comfortable in his usual environment and friend-circle, being the people who he was with on previous seasons.

6. Naivety : He trusts people too easily and tends to get stabbed in the back afterwards.

7. I guess I'll call it sensory/fidgeting : As we saw in S2, he has a teddybear and when he and James were in the tent while there was thunder which he is scared of (forgot what episode it is, forgive me), James sorta replaced the teddy because it wasn't with Aiden at the current moment

I think there are more, but these are the first 7 I noticed. If you noticed more symptoms of ADHD/ADD/Autism/ASD you noticed Aiden having, tell me what they are and i'll add them :^

I have a bit of a confession to make and I don't want to accus anyone of anything.

But, it does feel like the writers this season wrote Aiden with no care or thought put into his character whatsoever.

They build up these things only to fall flat and I've already lost hope. I know, weird to lose hope considering that he may come back to the game or get focus in the Rescue Island or Comeback episodes but it would be too little too late for them to explore anything meaningful with him...especially since Aiden was getting an entire humilation ritual.

Call me biased all you want but I have to get this off my chest somehow.

oh boy oh geez I don't know what to ask um um OH what did you think of Episode 8 of FvF if you've watched it? what do you think it means for Aiden?

I think his scene with Evie was really touching and adds on to the belief that he probably has some sort of parental issues. Like there's no way he was THAT emotional over a pair of sunglasses and a sweet story without having a reason for it.

As for the elimination... oh boy. Probably the worst one of the season so far, if I'm being completely honest. But what do you think?

Hi anon! I did watch bits and pieces of FvF Ep.8 and it's safe to say...I hate it. As for what it means for Aiden, I...honestly don't know. But, I feel like it may play into a possible character arc should they allow him.

As for the scene with Evie, I do think this implies that despite what he says in the greetings (considering he is written by someone who thinks he can't have depth which does contradict literally everything), Aiden has parental issues in a way. I mean, as you said, he got emotional over such a small gesture for a reason.

I don't even want to talk about the elimination, it's poorly written and poorly handled. The Fans shouldn't have lost and the way they did was bullshit. Feels like they needed to find a convoluted way to get rid of Aiden without giving it much thought. Not like Aiden hasn't been done dirty all season long by the writers...this whole season was just a humiliation ritual. It's truly disheartening that this is how it might end for him since I've resonated with him for so long, he's a huge comfort of mine, and is my favorite character.

Okay, maybe I'm lowkey crazy but doesn't it feel like Disventure Camp isn't prioritizing like a genuine narrative to tell anymore? It's either just strategy/gameplay or some really strange favoritism.

Like I know it's trying to be like Survivor but I feel like it's becoming more of a downfall for the show and it makes it hard to engage with. I started watching DVC for the story it's trying to tell with its characters, not because I wanted to see people compete on a show with a million dollars on the line strategize on how to win.

Maybe I'm just super picky about the media I consume and maybe I'm still bitter about Aiden's elim but...I'm just so done. DC5 is such a disappointing season so far and...it's so sad to see a show I once loved turn into this.

I'll probably stop talking about the current era of the show and only focus on rambling about DC1-DCAS from now on. But, we'll see.
