Ever lived abroad in Asia? You have? Well then you've most likely encountered one of these creatures. The Expat Douche Bag. Sucking the marrow from Asian countries, cultures, women, and ESL related businesses alike. The Expat Douche Bag is a parasite, and they are fully self-aware. Their often brutish, lecherous behavior can be seen on full display at local expat dive bars throughout Asia, desperately clinging to some semblance of belonging or importance. They moonlight as "teachers", when in fact they are anything but. Typically, you'll find them with a rather striking Asian female...but this is often the most shallow form of coupling known to man. For you see, once The Expat Douche Bag gets a taste for that submissive, sexually attentive Asian partner...he refuses to settle for anything less. Hence, why such creatures refuse to leave Asia. Be on alert! For The Expat Douche Bag lurks...and these oafish behaviors will hail his arrival.

This Tumblr is fucking brilliant - I had a hell of a time browsing and laughing my ass off. What makes it funny is the DEFINITE element of truth in your posts, and mixed with a little exaggeration (Though honestly not by much, in the case of these douchebags trolling around Asia b/c they couldn't hack it with the girls in their homelands...), that's what good humor is about. Well done.

Thanks for checking out this Tumblr.  There are definitely a lot of “case scenarios” which are hinted at and exaggerated, but nearly all of them are based on something that was seen/heard/observed in reality at some point in time.  These are based on personal experiences and observations, so while they only represent one specific viewpoint, there are many people who tend to agree with the emerging trends.

Having lived in South Korea for nearly 6 years and now Taipei, Taiwan for over a year, I’m still finding plenty of good examples and areas for discussion.

The sexual objectification of Asian women by white men never ceases to be a major point of contention for me.

Would-be YouTube "celeb" Michael Aronson (aka "Pool Man"), raps (very slowly) about the Seoul subway system in his YouTube video...but not without striking a Christ-like pose and throwing on some sunglasses.  Douche-tacular!

I dedicate this one to Katria Lemense, the lovely expat lady in Busan who has (literally) admitted to liking the kind of douche bags that inspired this meme.  No doubt this girl isn't starving for attention from the douche bags of the world, so she probably doesn't know what it's like to feel as though she's competing with local Asian women.  More power to you, Katria.  You keep rewarding those douche bags with your loving admiration.  That's noble work you're doing there!
