SEPTEMBER 3, 2016 - Copenhagen So today was a really busy day. My roommates and I were taking part at a three hours free walking tour through the city, which was really interesting but also exhausting. Got to learn lots about Danish history, politics and habits... Especially interesting I found the stories about the vikings, probably because I'm watching the series at the moment, and the stories were basically the same. After that we took a fast lunch and went to another free walking tour (90 minutes) to the free city Christiania. That one was crazy. It is a city that is not bound to Danish or European laws, but only on his own. So similar to Amsterdam there is/was a lot of drugs, especially weed in the "Green light district". But some days ago there were shootings and several people died so now they kind of threw the weed shops out. So there was no drug dealing or buying when we were there, anyways there were lots of people smoking weed. In general that city looked totally crazy, there were many trees and bushes, funny houses, lots of street art and so on... It really felt like a hippie-town. I liked it. After that we went to the paper island, where a big amount of street food is sold. It was delicious. And so cool. One big hall with tons of food trucks and drinks. And then we also took part on a Pub Crawl. It was basically a thing we payed 120 Danish crowns for and then got several shots for free and different nice deals about buying other drinks in the pubs. It was funny, as there also were lots of people from different countries, it was a lot of conversation. I can really say that I like this city. It is a bit like Amsterdam in some places but really really nice with its own special atmosphere. There is a lot to see. Tomorrow I'm going to head to a pottery store that I know from Instagram (yes, weird, I know, but he is amazing) and maybe to the Vikings museum... Not sure yet. But the day is going to be good!
