I dread Mother’s Day. A day that I’m supposed to applaud my mother for who she is and her accomplishments. I don’t have many happy memories of my mom being around in my life. I love her and I’m happy she’s my mom but more so for the person I was able to become without her. For all the that she put me through that has made me the person I am. Mother’s Day is hard, because I’m lucky enough to have my mom here to celebrate but I can’t bring myself to do it genuinely.
