Okay lemme elaborate.

I don’t think the humans in the Spiral are human. They look human! They bleed like humans! But they’re evolutionarily not. They have unnatural hair colors. Unnatural eye colors. They didn’t evolve from Earth. They were created in the Spiral.

There used to be a headcanon I vaguely remember from when I was younger that Spiral humans had elf ears because of the little triangle ears in the old model and I still subscribe to that. I also think their nails are sharper, they have pointed canines, and their eyes are shinier. Not vampire/werewolf levels of crazy, but… enough that there’s something off when you look at them.
