I feel like there’s symbolic meaning in how even at the end of both the phm movie and book Adrian was never physically present but I dont have the words for it rn
Also in how the movie replaced the organ with technology but I dont have the words for that
it means so much to me that rocky's lead puppeteer james ortiz got to voice him and got like. full billing right next to ryan gosling in the opening credits. and he's gotten to do interviews and red carpet appearances and talk about puppetry and it's all being taken so seriously just like he's any other type of actor. gonna make me cry fr. like they could have gotten some famous person to be rocky's voice to try and pull more star power but. they went with the guy who acted him. and like of course they did. like there he is. how could they do anything else. he's right there and he's perfect
It’s a picture of the Egg Nebula from NASA’s Hubble telescope, uploaded February 12, 2026 to the NASA app (which is where I got it from!! Really cool app btw) which is also where I’m pulling this description from
“NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope reveals the clearest view yet of the Egg Nebula. This structure of gas and dust was created by a dying, Sun-like star. These newest observations were taken with Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3.

Bakugo getting kidnapped by the LOV because he’s agressive during the sports festival and gets chained up: lame, doesnt make sense, he’s literally just aggressive
Iida getting kidnapped by the LOV because he tried to murder stain: sensational, holds so much potential, actually risks Iida becoming a villain
I feel so lucky that I live in a time where Project: Hail Mary is getting a movie I love that book so much
Also I have a NASA app that I took so many space images from (Thank You James-Webb Telescope) so when I finally get around to customizing my phone it’s over for yall

No you don’t understand PHM is so good I can’t stomach the idea of reading a fanfiction rewrite. Or an alternate universe where it’s like no astrophage or whatever. It’s literally my favorite book ever I love it sososo much only one other person in my life has read it I need more people to read it. Like the only thing I can stomach the idea of reading is post epilogue (OMFG THE EPILOGUE) or like anything BUT something that changes the story fundamentally it’s so good
I'm this close to reading Sherlock Holmes (when I find it) just to get Shinichi to nerd off more accurately, instead of just reading articles I find online and rely on the information Shinichi said in canon.
I love that to keep Shinichi away from black org business, Vermouth planned an entire boat Halloween party, with a real murder, just to keep him entertained. Enrichment for his enclosure, she knew a fake mystery would be boring so she gave him an actual murder, sad that he wasn't there to enjoy it
Okay so like. I’m making fanart for fanfiction right? I love the story except the author made it clear they aren’t like super happy with it and in general don’t like how they started the story and stuff. I, however, love the fic and am going to end up posting fanart for it but I don’t want to annoy them since they said they didn’t really like the fic anymore. So do I just post and let it find them via algorithm, do I tell them in a comment on the fic??
TLDR: I have an author unhappy with their work but I want to post fanart of it. Do I inform them or post it quietly?
If you wrote a fic and posted it, but ended up hating it down the line, would you still want to be told of fanart for the fic?
I would love to know!! I’d love a comment and a link to the art!
I wouldn’t mind it being posted and being informed of it
I wouldn’t mind it being posted, but I wouldn’t want to be informed of it
I don’t care about it being posted, but I don’t want to be told about it.

ETA: this is a very small pool but ill work with what ive got and hope for the best ig :p
Okay so since I’m probably going to post a bit about it I read the Sherlock Holmes books because of Detective Conan BUT they’re also a pretty fun read and I have opinions I’ll probably post but for the most part it will tie into detco. Anyways here’s headcanons for detco characters based on the Holmes books
Minor spoilers for the books in the list but also they have been out for over a century so…
Shinichi knows French, or at least enough to recognize it (seriously, especially in some of the newspaper cases there’s random French words like rechercher or cafe or pince-nez)
Shinichi has written Irene Adler/Sherlock Holmes fanfic (they aren’t canon to the books and while I have my own opinions on the ship, if you like it all the more power to you) (if he was ever able to or just posted it anywhere he definitely became a big name author because of the mysteries (pulling from his actual cases) and how the writing style is so similar to the original Doyle books (he’s a fucking nerd he so would))
Shinichi had a phase of speaking English the British way it’s written in the books: not quotes but examples: “two and thirty”, “good morning” for a goodbye, et cetera (Sonoko uses it to bully him. The only reason she hasn’t told Heiji yet is because 1. Shinichi isn’t around often enough for his reaction to be worthwhile and 2. She’s keeping extra blackmail just in case) (he also probably tried to get a British accent and had a fit when he realized that the person teaching him how to speak English had an American accent) (and for the longest time he would fight the teacher about his grammar (colour vs color))
Back on the fic train, the first one he wrote was definitely a self insert. Him as Watson, him as Sherlock, him interacting with both, it was a self insert and he did have fun writing it
The first time Shinichi tried cocaine was because he wanted to know what Holmes saw in it.
The only reason Shinichi doesn’t know how to disguise himself through his mom is because he was either too prideful or didn’t want to deal with her “eccentrics” with him wanting to learn disguises. He did want to though as it’s a classic tactic of Holmes to disguise himself to blend in.
Shinichi has a travel list and it’s just a list of all of the places Sherlock went on a case to.
Saguru is a lot less obsessed with following the laws than is shown in most canon/fanon (depends on how much canon I can remember tbh). If Kaito simply told him that he was after the men who killed his father, Saguru would stop chasing him. (The Final Problem Holmes does not care if Professor Moriarty dies as long as he’s no longer a threat to London, and in Charles Augustus Milverton he literally breaks into a house, and then witnesses a murder and does nothing to testify against the woman who murdered him he literally hated Milverton so much. On that case he was also trespassing and destroying property.)
Saguru has drawn fanart for Sherlock Holmes. (Back on Shinichi’s fic train, Saguru probably drew fanart for those fics if they ever got posted) (sue me i love fandom and fandom related things)
Saguru spent at least one day in London at the Sherlock Holmes museum each time he visited after moving to Japan
The reason Shinichi is a little bit of an americanophile is because Sherlock Holmes said he expected to become American at some point (“The Noble Bachelor” case near the very end it killed me a little when I read it)*
Megure got into the habit of asking dramatic clarifying questions after meeting a young Shinichi who was like “I wanna make deductions like that” about Sherlock having Watson constantly be like “OMG!!!” About them. It spread around to other police inspectors as like consulting detective enrichment or something
A lot of Saguru’s cases he doesn’t tell his father about if he can help it as there’s plenty of times where with a good enough reason Holmes lets people who technically commit crimes get away with it for blackmail purposes and he wants to do that.
I can’t think of anymore I’ll edit this post if I do :p
* “'It is always a joy to me to meet an American, Mr Moulton, for I am one of those who believe that the folly of a monarch and the blundering of a Minister in far gone years will not prevent our children from being some day citizens of the same world-wide country under a flag which shall be a quartering of the Union Jack with the Stars and Stripes.'”
I have a fic, I wanted to update it around this time but couldnt get time to work on the chapter. I had two seperate people in a comment I explained this to tell me to take care of my health just heufjejejjerjjr theyre so sweet and I hate that I havent updated yettttttr
Hello, Sherlock Holmes adaptation writer. I have trapped you in this room. It is fully furnished and comfortable. On the table, you will notice a copy of A Scandal in Bohemia by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, of which redistribution is perfectly legal, as the work is in the public domain. You will notice it is rather thin. You have 24 hours to read the approximately 8,550 words in this story. To exit this room, all you must do is summarize the plot of the story without referring to Irene Adler as a seductress or implying she is attracted to Sherlock Holmes. Good luck.
So Sherlock Holmes x Irene Adler. I have thoughts. None great honestly
So like every time I’ve heard Sherlock Holmes mentioned or watched like any show or movie or seen a summary of one Holmes and Adler are in a romantic relationship of some type, usually unsteady and/or sexual in nature. Before reading the books themselves I thought that they were a couple in all continuities
Except no. Adler is a one off character in a newspaper short case and her and Holmes never even directly meet. And in the chapter not only is he the witness to her MARRIAGE, she RUNS AWAY TO AMERICA WITH HER LAWYER LOVER. And then I’m just sitting here like “how did we get here? Why are they a couple in every single media except the original?”
And what frustrates me even more is the show that made me read the books in the first place literally had a MOVIE where the main characters parents were playing Adler and Holmes in a video game. And the main character has talked about Holmes and Adler having a romantic relationship before. And HES SUPPOSED TO BE A HOLMES FANBOY. He got his fanfiction mixed up with the actual books I guess
I think I just feel lied to and cheated? Like I thought they were going to be thoroughly explored only to find out Adler is mainly just a nothing character people decided Holmes should date.
In the actual short story, Watson literally writes out that Holmes doesn’t love in that way, and Adler is just the only woman Holmes truly respects because she’s the pinnacle of what he believes women to be: extremely resourceful and cunning.
And Adler technically knocks him off of his misogyny train a little, but I’m going to be honest Holmes’ misogyny didn’t feel all that present from what I’ve read. He’s never dismissed a woman or been like “go back to the kitchen” I honestly think he’s just a little scared of them.
Anyway Mary Morstan and John Watson should get more love. Just saying.
Edited to add: I have nothing against Irene Adler and Sherlock Holmes in fanwork and stuff. I just hate how adaptations always feel the need to canonize a romantic relationship between the two when Holmes never actually marries or dates anyone in any newspaper short or book. Holmes is single and they’re taking away my aroace rep 😡😡
