So can we talk about Ryland Grace being ace coded? Like I know he had that one line about the Day one, Meal one tube being better than sex, but like... is that not a very asexual thing to say? When Martin and Annie are over sharing about their relationship he was kind of a combination of morbidly fascinated and squeamish/uncomfortable thinking about it. And then when the team thought he was in a sexual relationship with Stratt he was completely shocked that anyone would think that way. Bro goes into space and finds his platonic life partner in a rock spider alien music box, is prepared to die to save him, and then seemingly is completely fine living out the rest of his existence on Erid without ever needing sex again.
