The first sun-rays of the day kissed the land, the greens and purples slowly melt into the earth, awaiting the day to be renewed by the light of the sun which shone upon the two figures that stood before the remaining of the residence. Asami was still collapsed on her knees, continuing to allow her anger to spread out through her words and punches as a sequence of footsteps rang throughout her ears. She ceased her movements immediately and looked back over her shoulder only to face with a strange-looking man that caused her to narrow her eyes out of wonder. Her initial thought was that a random traveller that approached her due to hearing her incoherent screaming and perhaps wondering about the demolished building but the feeling he radiated was far from a random traveller.
Asami could feel somewhat familiar with the stranger, as her gaze scanned the man from top to bottom, she cleared her throat.
“ Who… Who are you..?” She asked, and why do I feel as though I’ve seen you before? He had the clothes of a commoner indeed. As her suspicions rose, she wiped her tears quickly and stood up. He has blue hair, well that is odd. Could it be that he is truly the answer to my pleads? Sent by the purple dragon deity? She questioned as she took a step closer to the stranger.
“ Are you… perchance like me?” She spoke with a low but questioning voice, despite not intending to come off rude or worse, mad, Asami sensed that the stranger had an answer to the perplexingly familiar feeling she sensed. Could he be… What worst could happen was the stranger becoming confused and think of her as a deranged loner which would not offense her in the slightest considering she had been called much worse. The sun was rising behind the two, slowly warming up the blues to a radiant gold.
He could have cried in relief when she turned to him, not moments after he stepped towards her. He didn’t need to find some way to begin this conversation, thankfully. She’d been crying, and she wiped her tears away as she stood up to face him.
“Shin-ah,” he answered her, though he gave no further explanation. He should have, he realized belatedly. But already she was stepping closer to him and asking more questions.
His response was a slow nod. Well, Shin-ah assumed that they were kith and kin, at least. He had no evidence other than the purple light he felt, but there was nothing else it could mean that he was aware of. Did she feel his blue light?
His head tilted to the side as he looked over her through his blindfold. Her mask didn’t bother him, for he also usually wore a mask. The purple was already beginning to show through her roots, so it was clear… very clear that she was indeed what he thought she was. “...You drank the blood…” This was a statement, not a question. Because it was obvious she must have. Shin-ah hadn’t, of course. He was born into this. But he was very, very familiar with the stories and history now. For a new Dragon Warrior to be born, the blood of a dragon must be consumed. He wondered… what drove her to drink it? And what drove the dragon to offer?
Oh… he should… probably get her name. Otherwise he would continue to refer to her as ‘Purple Light’. That likely would have been something he should have asked already, but he hoped she would forgive him for his inexperience. “Who are you?”
