I had an uncharacteristically bad case of the Sunday Scaries yesterday (which was perhaps to be expected, seeing as one member of my five-person team has been out for three weeks and will be out for at least one week more, and I've essentially been doing half of his job in addition to 100% of my own this whole time), and this morning I woke up with stomach issues bad enough to warrant taking a sick day, which I am. So now I'm left wondering: were the fried clam strips to blame, or did my brain Sunday-Scare my body into developing physical symptoms? It is a mystery!

It makes perfect sense that the cool fun twenty-somethings in my office don't want to hang out with their thirty-six-year-old coworker, but unfortunately that does NOT stop my feelings from getting a little hurt when they start loudly planning a post-work outing in the cubicle next to me and list off everyone from the office they're inviting (which notably does not include me).
