So I remembered, via Knight Rider Archives, that Michael and Kitt are unofficially canon, and I love that about the show:

random thoughts about kitt vs karr

kitt calling karr a monster is so sad... especially when you put it and this deleted scene from trust doesn't rust side by side :(

anyway thank god for fix it fanfiction

a detail i've always found interesting is that karr's sights were moreso on michael than kitt

i headcanon that he cares about kitt, and also that he views him as a brainwashed victim that will eventually be abandoned and replaced like he was. but he knows nothing he could say would convince kitt to go against the foundation, so he doesn't bother and covers up his feelings with apathy

i really like this line, it reveals that the real root of his issues is being abandoned by the people who created him. he's targeting michael not just because of what happened in the end of trust doesn't rust, but also because killing him is the next best thing to killing wilton knight

him bringing that up to john really seems like it was impulsive rather than calculated guilt tripping. john and karr may have not had much of a relationship, but the fact that john didn't want him and attempted to desert him still triggered his trauma.

karr desperately wants to have someone who both needs him and won't leave him. unfortunately now he believes that threatening people with violence is the only way he can ever get that

it makes me sad that garthe and karr never met....karr feels very alone in what he went through, but little does he know there was someone who knew how it felt to be abandoned by wilton, and then left to rot in a prison. there was so much potential there dammit!!

anddddd there's our cliffhanger ending. can someone please send me to the timeline where KR didn't lose its budget in s4 and then get cancelled

Kitt also has The Guy Ever type of shit going on. He's British. He's prissy and a lil gay. He hates motorcycles, rock & roll, teddy bears and small dogs, but learned to tolerate a pack of large dogs. He can herd bulls. Someone's always trying to kidnap him. He's got a built in printer. He likes showing off, but he doesn't like gaudy decals/accessories. He once pretended to be a poltergeist and it was successful. He was temporarily a tv set once.
