Nathalie being a theater kid is somehow the biggest plot twist ever and yet completely makes sense. Of course she would be a theater kid and be drawn to the most theater tragedy coded family ever.

There is a much bigger discussion to be had about how Nathalie is influencing Marinette in her actions, but for now, I just wanna give my 2 cents on a detail I've now often seen interpreted in a way I don't agree with:

People say this was Nathalie leaving Marinette to tell Adrien the truth on her own, but, in my opinion, this was just a heated Nathalie leaving the room after Adrinette immediately changed the subject matter to something else:

Like, Nathalie was PISSED at Gabriel here. She wanted to destroy the letter to protect Adrien by not allowing Gabriel to have a voice (which stays in line with the froggy plushy carrying past Gabriel's voice into the present too).

And lbr, there ARE 100 other ways to get the information from the letter to Adrien (by showing him Emilie's videos, for example). You don't HAVE to give Gabriel a voice and Nathalie considered it wrong to let him have one. Period. She did not at all agree with Marinette, but they were too quickly interrupted by Adrien entering the room, so this discussion literally was stopped before they got anywhere:

Nathalie was PISSED and did the same thing Ivan did and kept quiet about it and left the room because she and Marinette werent on the same page while Adrien is present.

I totally get holding Nathalie accountable for not helping Marinette more (and believe me, I'm GLAD Nathalie's inclusion takes a solid amount of accountability away from Marinette), but in my opinion, saying that this moment is Nathalie abandoning Marinette to say the truth on her own is just.. objectively wrong.

Adrien entered the room, talking about something else and Marinette immediately goes all in on that topic, too. In Nathalie's eyes, Marinette just showed that she's not gonna treat the letter as the important subject matter as of now, so Nathalie took her heated mood somewhere else. That's all.

Nathalie being in this secret society doesn’t mean she’s evil, she loves Adrien and obviously didn’t reveal Ladybug’s identity to them. She’s also not an idiot, she saw what came from siding with a corrupt rich maniac like Gabriel. Nah, these people are a threat.

Ok, chat is exploding saying that Nathalie is evil now. I respectfully disagree because :

1/ she has integrity and even when she was standing in front of that council, she didnt give me bad vibes, she gave double agent feels

2/ she didnt die trying to save adrien just to get resurrected and betray him, i think she's really commited to being Adrien's mom/guardian now because that's what Emilie would have wanted (the shadow to the diamond)

3/ if i have to watch Adrien lose another parental figure in his life at the young age of 15 i might just throw myself off a cliff

So no, i dont think Nathalie is evil

It seems my theory that Felix has one of the twin rings is incorrect.

Thomas replied to a post that talked about a theory quite similar to mine that Adrien's rings are fake and Felix has the real ones. He said to watch the Riposte episode again, then replied this:

In the Riposte episode, the akuma was in Kagami's ring, but the amok didn't come out of the ring when Ladybug broke it. Similarly, Colt broke/damaged Felix's ring, but the amok didn't come out.

But when Colt broke the ring, Felix collapsed. So while breaking the ring doesn't necessarily release the amok, it must have still hurt him. For Kagami and Adrien, Ladybug's power directly repaired their rings, so we don't know what effect it had on them.

For those who will say that Kagami's ring in Riposte is not the real one because it is black unlike the other episodes where it is silver. Thomas confirmed that the two rings are the same.

I think it's an animation error. In Kagami's concept art from season 2, there's no black ring. There's only her silver ring.

Another thing that makes me think the black ring is a mistake is that Riposte's costume is inspired by her ring: she's all silver and wears the symbol of her ring on her helmet and sword.

To be honest, I don't like to theorize too much and I prefer to follow the story and wait to see what new information the next episodes will bring us.

He’s a real fun one because he’s the most glaring case of Gabriel’s misuse of his miraculous.

Akumatizeds are by nature emotional, irrational and scatterbrained- this isn’t much of an issue because they always have someone to tell them what to do.

Another aspect I find really fun is how piss-yourself scary the situation is for adrien :3. He gets to go from “my dad is so mad at me he’s destroying his office” to “my dad might be hawkmoth” to “my enraged dad has been akumatized” to “watch members of my akumatized dad kill everyone in the building” and he doesn’t even have anyone he can tell about it besides, like, Plagg.
