Magnificent Ms. Marvel (2019) #9
To dance is to be free
One of the reasons I love QuinObi so much as a ship (and think it should be, in a just world, a much bigger ship) is because they are so, SO weird about each other. In legends, they meet, and are immediately just like. Trusting each other. Quin talks about his fucked up past. Obi-Wan has an anxiety issue and doesn't even try to hide it. The Force said "hey, two teenage boys! This is your guy! He'll always be there for you!" Quin goes off to be undercover in Dooku's inner circle, starts slipping and falling into the dark, and Obi-Wan, whole general, council member, and all just fucks off from whatever he WAS doing, Mr. Duty-Bound himself, to go looking for Quinlan. Doesn't care what he did, just wants to pull him out of his funk. Quin spills his guts with barely any prompting. During the Order 66 part of the comics, one of the first people Quin thinks about, along with his own Padawan, is Obi-Wan. He knows without needing to ask when Obi-Wan is struggling with Anakin. Reads him like a damn book.
Even in Dark Disciple, which I think has some flaws (especially in the cutting of Quin's backstory and also the Mace characterization) I still really enjoyed it FOR this reason. Quin bounds up the stairs to see Obi-Wan. Steals fries off his plate. Pretty much flirts with him during a council meeting while everyone else is watching. Obi-Wan has a full panic attack about the fact that Quin has fallen to the dark side and openly argues, in a temper, with other council members about what to do about it. Quin is holding a dying Ventress and senses Obi-Wan's presence and is like "oh, of course he's here. It's right that he is." OKAY BUDDY. Like, I could go on, but I love them. They're so weird about each other, everyone knows it, and when they need to, they make it other people's problem.

Please let Obi-Wan be happy 2022. Starring sunflowers (me).
Pondering QuinObi again this morning (I know, shocking) and I think one of the moments that really makes them a THING for me is that when they first meet as little baby Padawans in the Republic comics, they both offer up the most vulnerable parts of themselves to each other. Quin tells Obi-Wan about his parents, his psychometry, and his issues with death. When they encounter the weird bug creatures right after, not only does Obi-Wan allow Quin to see his raw anxiety, but he lets Quin help him past it. Quin confesses his fear of his own darkness. Obi-Wan lets Quin see that he is less than perfect and that maybe he has, you know, needs. For whatever reason, they trust each other inherently at the first jump. Maybe the Force is saying "hey, this person could be important to you!" I dunno, exactly. But it's such a good origin story for what their relationship becomes in adulthood (in both legends and Disney canon. They're weird about each other in both the continued comics and Dark Disciple even if DD doesn't use the backstory, it does. To me.). In a dangerous time, they are each other's safety. Each other's home. No matter what happens, they can be who they are with each other. That trust lays the foundation for their friendship, and that friendship leads to a romantic/sexual partnership (to me) that always keeps that original bonding moment in mind no matter what happens next.
Obi-Wan tries out a new fit ✨ Based on Cal’s design in Jedi Survivor. Reference below!

Hi Taj. Eeth Anon here. And I bring you a new idea.
Jocasta and Yoda.
I find the idea of Yoda having some books at least a century overdue and Jocasta is trying to finish her predecessor duty and get those books back absolutely funny.
There is no try ✨
marvel was actually insane for making tony stark say “my dad never really gave me much support so i’m just trying to break the cycle” to peter parker to really solidify that THAT BOY IS HIS SON
HAPPY STAR WARS DAY May the Force be with you, always. (insp)

Finding of baby Obi-Wan ft. Mace Windu with HairTM
I’ve always liked the idea that Mace Windu was the Jedi to find and rescue Obi-Wan from Stewjon, just adds more interesting layers to their friendship (honestly I don’t even know if Stewjon is a hostile planet or not, canon and fanon really blur the lines in obis backstory)
We always see Mr Super Serious head of Jedi Order Windu, there’s not enough enough of Windus soft side out there (he would be GREAT with kids don’t even lie) 💜
God tumblr really nerfed the quality so bad 😭
"IRONDAD IS REAL" I say as they take me to the asylum
