I’m self studying for IB retakes this year so I’m gonna try and get back into the studyblr community for motivation and community!! So expect a lot more posts from me. The courses I’m retaking the exams for this year are Japanese, History, Math and Bio. I’m also going to be applying to uni and studying for the DELF (French language proficiency test) this year so expect posts related to that too!

Tomorrow is the day of my final exam of this semester, and the past few days I've been in a rut. I find focusing harder and tend to just... not study. However, just one more day to go, so I'm posting these pictures from a few weeks ago, hoping they help with regaining my motivation

Im also an IB student but I saw your posts and was wondering are you going to do IB exams? like the official ones? because where I live ours were cancelled and we just did mock exams

I go to an international school in Japan and as covid isn't as massive here (especially in the area the school is in) the school has chosen to do the exam route. In some countries (e.g. UK where I am from) I think all exams have been cancelled, but in countries such as Japan the schools have a choice to do the "exam route" or "non exam route". For example I think an IB school in Tokyo would be more likely to cancel exams as covid cases are quite high there (with a new state of emergency being put in place literally yesterday) but where my school is (middle of nowhere) taking exams are really fine as covid hasn't interfered with us too much. I hope that makes sense!

The past few weeks have been crazy. Lots of readings and essays to write, but I’m almost done so I’m excited to be able to read for pleasure for a while. Yesterday I visited a museum in my city, and next week I’m travelling to another city with my friends, and I intend to also visit some museums and libraries there. Can’t freaking wait!

Some colorful journals and my new bookshelf! Technically, it’s not new; it used to be my shoe rack for some reason, but a few days ago, I came across the realization that, perhaps, it’s much better and more convenient as a bookshelf. I’m currently waiting for more books so the middle will probably fill up and the ones at the bottom are ones I’ve read already! Honestly, in this household, we stan books. By the way, if y’all have any books to recommend, please send them my way!! It’d be much appreciated. I’ve been filling the days with cleaning, journaling, and watching videos. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve really been feeling like time goes by so fast these days. I should probably start getting up early tbh. Anyways, I hope all y’all are doing well and have a relaxing weekend!! 🤍✨

Little update! I took this semester off from school because I didn’t want to be online only — but I’ve decided I need to continue my degree! It’s been a hard decision but I’ll be taking classes in the spring to keep going with my master’s degree, even if they’re all online 💫
