Wamphyri Verse (vampires.)

IT’s finally finished!! 8DD

This is an overview of the type of vampire I use for my vampire verse for my muses. The tag on any muse will be ‘v; wamphyri’  and/or ‘v; wamphyri lord’ along with any other universe tag if required. The lore is cherry-picked, mainly from Brian Lumley’s Necroscope book series with a few choice tidbits from other fictions and common folklore. Feel free to send questions about them! I love talking about the wamphyri!

Intro: To begin, the wamphyri is a kind of higher vampire, but it is a symbiotic relationship between parasite and host. The leech inside is the true essence of the wamphyri, and either it or the host can be called such.

The leech can control its host to a degree, and certainly communicates with them, as it is a sentient being. Almost like a conscience, or as a dissociative identity. It has only wamphyri desires: to feed, to claim, to rule, as the wamphyri are lords in their home.

18. Favorite angst fic? It would have to be @blue-five‘s Tough As Nails. If you can read this fic without at least sniffling a little bit, you’re not human. 

32. Favorite AU tropes? I’m a sucker for young AUs (college and high school) and A/B/O AUs. Also, why do all the A/B/O WIPs keep getting abandoned? I can list like five right off the top of my head that haven’t updated in months and that I’m DYING to read more about. (That said, shout-out to the afore-mentioned @blue-five for continuing What Lies Ahead because I need it.)

33. Least favorite AU tropes?  This is a hard one, because all the things I can think of have big exceptions. Like… I don’t generally like Vampire AUs but I LOVE @michelleaemerlind’s Blue Eyes and Possession and @ezabungles‘s Once Bitten. I’m not usually into Werewolf stuff but @just-a-one-time-thing’s Fade Into Me is amazing. And I usually hate “it was all a dream” fics but I freakin’ wrote one, so… I guess I can enjoy anything if it’s done well. ;)
