New Zealand National Youth Conference Promo Video.
This was my first event where I was the photographer and videographer for The UnSpoken Word: Youth Conference. Rangatahi from all around New Zealand came through to this event.

is it ever just a jam though ?
Super high-budget film, used such precisely built props and our lighting team has the state of the art bulbs.
Our make-up team has never failed us in the aesthetic we strive for.
We can't forget the actors who spent the long hard hours learning all their lines. Oh boy, did they embellish their MOMENT.
aaaand to the guy that forced them to do it ... you did it. Not quite, since I missed the deadline, but here's what we came up with for the genre #3 WHODUNNIT/ Mystery. ... and definitely followed all the other parameters.
So far half-way through this drawing challenge I sent out to a few mates, check it out if you’re stuck wanting to draw, but dont know what to do ...
Did you wanna random drawing challenge ?
Just to draw something that you want for a change rather than it being for work haha
Digital or traditional.
Here’s the challenge, the parameters are:
Draw yourself
As a bender from Avatar: The Last Air Bender/ Legend of Korra (Fire, Earth, Air, Water Can also have Lava or Lightning, Blood Bending, Metal Bending or Levitation? Or Boomerang aw
You must have equipment of some sort (weapon, staff, Orb, backpack, first aid anything but there has to be something, bike).
You must have an animal with you Uppa, Momo, Blind dog tongue lady, dragon, Lion Turtle, or make one up, but like a Partner in crime kinda animal.
Give a small description of traits your character has, and give your character a name.
Sweet so, that’s the brief. If you wanna do this finish the drawing on Thursday 12th March 9pm, so it doesn’t have to be perfect, how ever much time you can spend on it, just to get the imagination flowing haha
If you don’t want to do a character you could draw an environment of a place in Avatar last airbender.
Have fun with it.

NZQA: Student Voice
The brief for this piece was:
1. Translate the biggest ideas of the Pasefika students of New Zealand, to the NZQA staff.
2. For the staff to relate to the way the students view the schooling system.
3. Make an impact
After going through the word files, these were the most prominent themes which I aligned with the a journey.
*Feedback* This image is 1.2m x 5m large and was printed. Originally was displayed for the NZQA staff. This was later taken by Ministry of Education and presented in a yearly conference.
The brief for this project was:
- to portray a character without having the character be visible
- In under 2 minutes (duration).
The process of this video started from:
Who am I going to portray? How am I going to portray this person?
Once I got the idea, my plan fell into place on that morning. I figured a linear story-line would work well to be able to show as much information in a limited time-frame. This character was picked over other options as I feel most people would be able to relate to what the character does; through experience or observation (or lack thereof).

The brief of this project was:
1. Study a Director and reference the techniques used in their films.
2. Have a narrative; Beginning, Middle, End.
3. Must use 3 characters.
This story developed from my most loathed chore and was dedicated to how it feels every week.
