Oh, she was listening. Really. However, despite her efforts, having someone else take the reigns meant she paid less attention — it wasn’t intentional. Really. Amara was there for the cause: a march for MLK Day. It was right in her ballpark. Standing up, she made her way to the table filled with markers and other art supplies, back turned from Ezrah as she spoke, “I’m not sure how I feel about someone telling me what to do, and not the other way ‘round.”
Ezrah stared blankly at the woman for a brief moment before shrugging. “I never said anything about you having to listen to me,” he clarified. “Just giving advice for a show stealing sign. But by all means, go ahead and share anything you’d like to add. We’d all appreciate a tip or two.”
