He nods at her words, agreeing with what she’s saying. “Anything can be solid if it's cold enough.”

“.....” Anger, though he doesn’t know how to voice it. His fingers are gripping hard at his shirt sleeves and he's staring at Tobias, unable to speak. It's frustrating, he just can't get the words out, he doesn't know how.

He’s not really here, his mind isn’t really in the conversation because he’s focused on the tablet. It takes a moment for him to register the words and form a proper response to the sentence.

“So basically you two spend the day looking up the sky and trying to find aliens.”

He pulls a tablet from his desk and flips through the notes on the files. “In-organic, unregistered, unknown variables.” He mumbling to himself, really.

he’s got this thing where he’s been non-verbal most of his life and doesn’t like to look people in the eyes. he’s fucking brilliant but had the hardest time in school and socializing so he was home schooled by his parents. as he got older he wasn’t nearly as non-verbal but still has the hardest time using his words to describe his emotions or ask for things. he has melt downs and tantrums a lot but mostly when he’s alone though andy has probably seen a few of them. he has to have things exactly as they need to be and he’s got this routine and he _hates_ when it’s changed or interrupted in any way, it causes him to freak out and tick and pick at his hands and wrists & bite his lip until things start bleeding.

“Just curious. What exactly is that you do around here?”

“I study Astrophysics and Andromeda is more focused on Astrobiology but really we do a lot of star and mood study and the galaxy.”
