so let me get this straight. these drivers work with women in the paddock, but when allegations of sexual harassment and how women are being treated in f1 comes up all of a sudden it’s “noise and distraction” and “you don’t care about those stuff”??? like your girlfriends and wives are in this same paddock but you don’t care since you’re not affected by it?? Got it 👍🏾 but then again these are men and i don’t expect anything good to come out of a man’s mouth much less a millionaire driver.

all this goes to show you that most of these drivers don’t care about the safety of women much less support women in the paddock. as long as their check clears that’s enough for them. that also makes me think that formula 1 doesn’t care about women empowerment or diversity and inclusion, they are just doing it for a show.

Red Bull suspended the woman who has been:

Harassed by a superior

Had her image dragged online

Been doxed

Has had her case dismissed

Her messages leaked

They are punishing the victim for coming forward.

This is something we see every damn day in the real world, and it shouldn't be so disappointing to me that this is no different but it is.

This sport and some of it's fans have really just shown that 'women matter....until you try speak out against someone we like'.

Some of the things I've seen people say about this poor woman, who probably came forward so others wouldn't have to be subjected to what she was, are horrific and I'm just mad.

I'm mad, disappointed, sad, and just yeah.

Happy fucking International Women's Day I guess.

Okay but Williams not only assuring Logan multiple times that his health is more important than his race, showing genuine care, then blocking the cameras from seeing him struggling to get out of the car? That's the gold standard of how teams should support their drivers

To summarise:

Logan retiring after nearly throwing up in the car, visibly shaking as he got out of the seat

Max and Oscar lying down in the cooldown room looking like drowned cats

F1 live blog noting Oscar looked worryingly pale

Lance staggering right up to the ambulance after almost fainting trying to get out of his car

Esteban throwing up on lap 15

Alex needing to be lifted by the Williams mechanics out of his car in parc ferme and throwing up

George driving with no hands to try to get airflow and saying post race he felt he was going to faint

Multiple drivers saying it was the hardest race they had ever done

This is an issue of driver safety and is completely unacceptable
