this girl's thoughts on f1 whenever she needs to vent ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
INTRODUCTION EDITION
this is the alternative blog to @divayesthatsme
so yes it is me, and i want to make an f1 update blog, more focused on what's happening in the sport at each race weekend rather than my own biased opinions whilst the divayesthatsme acc is for my daily thoughts about all my hyperfixations, including f1
therefore this is just an f1 centric blog - i'll try to be less biased here, this will be just my thoughts on the races ๐
๐๐ i will hopefully update every race weekend so please feel free to join me in my updates, and join me while i crash out - i will ALWAYS be happy to see mutuals interact and crash out with me <3 ๐๐
P.S. please appreciate the creativity of F1nking Out Loud - it is pronounced as finking, but yk how it sounds like thinking and it has f1 instead of thi... i'm ruining it but i just feel the need to explain in case somebody doesn't understand

A NON-MERCEDES WIN IN 2026 ๐ฎ๐น
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
russell maintains his lead at the start as he is starting on mediums whilst hamilton is on the softs
oscar is overtaken by charles (i was not paying attention at the start so i probably missed a lot)
russell pits once hamilton pits - personally wrong strategy choice, those mediums had to last longer but we will see
stroll and bottas out
colapinto and gasly swap positions - in p12 and p13
hamilton on 3 stop strategy and pits lap 30 for mediums
does russell pit...? no, russell is currently undercut by lewis hamilton
lewis is soaring in his ferrari
hulkenberg is out
ferrari might have cooked on their strategy - DID THEY GET NEW STRATEGISTS??
because this is going well for lewis
russell and antonelli are fighting for p1
but they are wasting time, and lewis is catching up to them
lewis' new race engineer acc so positive i like him i have no idea what happened to max verstappen's race - he's running in 7th rn
norris pits lap 36
george is pitting lap 36
i think mercedes fucked up their strategy
they should have followed lewis' because mercedes are pitting really early in lap 37. they have 29 laps left they will be really struggling in lap 60-66
oscar is pitting lap 37
VSC ON LAP 41 and hamilton is pitting obviously as he gets a cheap pitstop, this is looking like a hamilton win, and just as the vsc is ending (i have no idea why the vsc happened though)
oh max is back in p5 similar strategy as ferrari i think with a 3 stop
yellow flag infringement for lewis hamilton lap 44
albon has been revived on lap 49
lando is struggling according to his radio messages lewis is cleared of any penalties
oh ok it was alonso who caused the vsc btw
antonelli and russell are fighting lap 61
NO WAY KIMI IS STOPPING AND THE ENGINE IS GONE (this mercedes engine is fast but not reliable)
CHARLES LECLERC IS GOING INCREDIBLY SLOW IDK WHAT IS HAPPENING, HE'S LOST THE POWER STEERING VSC OBVIOUSLY icl i was about to turn the race off and go back to studying BUT WOW
i'm disappointed for charles WHAT THE FUCK this is so many dnfs for charles
ok maybe kimi and george swapped cars
this might be the end of the race it hasnt been an all brit podium since 1968 apparently (idk how that is possible, there have been so many british drivers over the years)
one final green flag lap AND LEWIS HAMILTON IS A RACE WINNER WITH FERRARI
wow this seems unreal DAMN i never thought i would see the day
FERRARI IS BACK
lewis' message is very sweet
NICO ROSBERG IS THE INTERVIEWER FOR THIS RACE LMAO THIS IS SO FUNNY
see you in two weeks time (please bring back oscar p1astri)

BARCELONA-CATALUNYA QUALI '26 EDITION
SO let's not talk about this qualifying session. ever. (ok it was bad, but no p22 bad)
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
Q1
for the first time in 42 races lance stroll has outqualified fernando alonso woww ๐ฅณ๐ honestly very impressive record from fernando
this is really sad for fernando's supposed last race here in barcelona
home hero carlos sainz squeezes into q2
hulkenberg puts in a BANGING lap in the last minutes of q1, taking p5 in this session i'm glad i put audi in my fantasy team
ocon, albon, perez, bottas, stroll and alonso out in q1 - ocon is losing to ollie in the qualifying h2h at 5-2 to ollie now
ferrari is BACK 1-3 in q1, that's all i need to see, i'm convinced
Q2
tf is wrong with mclaren - i invested in mclaren for TWO of my fantasy teams, i placed my blind faith and trust in this stupid papaya team
so mclaren is basically ferrari now - giving us hopium in free practice
ok so mclaren were on used tyres but even their new tyres only good for p4 and p7 in q2
AUDI has a car in for q2, as hulkenberg puts in a lap to secure himself in p10 in the last minutes of this session
i think toto wolff cut the wires on mclaren's cars after seeing their pace in free practice (this is a joke for legal reasons, i do NOT need a billionaire to sue me)
Q3
RED FLAG as crash in q3 for charles leclerc, as he slides on the track, then gains grip and barges into the barriers in turn 4
max and oscar get over the line before the red flag, lando does not
wait i'm heartbroken for charles but my oscar piastri heart is seeing the benefits... oscar could benefit massively from this he could claim p1, especially because this is a great lap (1 tenth faster than the fastest in q2, so fastest overall) (i'm forgetting that theres over 8 minutes left of q3 but yk delusion makes me believe). the mercedes and ferrari could do better than that lap BUT this red flag changes a lot of things - my delusion fuels me, it's why i'm a tifosa
NOOO, CHARLES' DEPRESSED WALK BACK HE WAS DOING SO WELL THIS WEEKEND
this is the it's so over part of the cycle
oo maybe another delusional take is that charles crashed just as max crossed the line so max could benefit and charles' own son, oscar, could benefit from this red flag.
i really love the vcarb livery - they are the only team which i appreciate the new liveries, i never get bored of their liveries
whenever f1 cars go slowly, i get scared (e.g. when lewis hamilton's ferrari was going down the pit lane, very slowly i must say, i was terrified the car's power went out. i just don't trust this generation of cars)
and in those last minutes i just see oscar piastri drop from p1 to p7
i don't want to talk about this qualifying session
this is NOT what i'm going to see in my last 7 minutes
see yall tmr.. maybe if somebody hasnt destroyed my soul by then

MONACO GRAND PRIX '26 EDITION
i think they are reusing these pictures of kimi for HIS FIFTH WIN OF THE SEASON
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
lights away and kimi gets away very nicely
but MAX STALLS and is in p22 so i think the race is over now for him
max just wants to crash the car into the wall now
bearman had contact and in the pits to change in front wing
max is in the pits and he is out
gasly got ahead of norris in lap 1
russell is noted for a false start for being out of position after detecive lando spotted this ๐ตโโ๏ธ
there are power unit issues for red bull i am so sorry max fans
lando became the detective as he calls out george for being out of grid slot
but ultimately not under investigation and its dismissed
drive through penalty for checo
lap 10 and kimi has already caught up to the back of ollie bearman (this is not the bearnelli battle i wanted to see)
bottas out (for a reason...)
i think there's been around 3 overtakes in total (not including everyone overtaking max at the start) oh god this is getting exhausting - i didnt expect much but this is just sad
nobody is being reckless and giving me a safety car or something fun
icl after kimi pits, maybe george will just go osama bin russell and crashes into the rear of hadjar's red bull just so he gets screwed by that.. who knows
and now lewis is 10 seconds behind kimi
lap 29 and lewis is pitting for hards with a 2.1 second stop damnn ferrari i didnt know their pit crew had that in them
ollie is pitting to retire the carall these retirements but not for a crash - am i cruel for manifesting a crash because the only thing that would improve monaco is rain or a teammate crash
ollie has had the worst weekend - thoughts and prayers for him
but anyways russell pits lap 32
the mercedes undercut has worked out
hamilton investigation for speeding in the pit lane possible 5 second penalty and yes it is a 5 second penalty that was quick
lando sees pu issues and now sees no electrical power - my days, his car is so unreliable - but the power has seemed to reset according to bernie collins
in goes leclerc to the pits
and george has been noted for speeding in the pit lane the investigations at the stewards is more interesting than the actual drama in the track
kimi is in the pits in lap 38 and back out
i would just like to bring up the theory (not mine) that i was telling EVERYBODY: 'i'm going to say that kimi wont win monaco because jannik sinner lost in the second round of roland garros. the roland garros finals and the monaco gp was meant to happen on the same day and sinner and antonelli have won grand prixs and tournaments typically on the same day so since jannik is out and cant win on the same day.. i have a feeling the day of the monaco grand prix will be a bad day for italians' this was from a week ago BUT flavio cobolli is in the french open final, another italian tennis player so maybe it will be a good day for all italians everywhere if flavio wins
and george gets the 5 second penalty but is still chasing down norris, less than 1 second between gasly, norris and russell
anyone want to crash...? bring out a safety car - listen i dont want drivers to get hurt obviously i am not psychopathic but i just want something interesting to happen...
franco colapinto has been noted for speeding in the pit lane on lap 42
lando has been told to hold up russell so oscar can pit and come out ahead of george
franco colapinto gets his 5 second penalty
george has been noted for crossing the line at pit exit - russell has so much bad luck holy shit it is ridiculous george gets ahead of lando once leaving tho
lando is retiring the car on lap 46 - the 4th car to go out and no crash still?? this drs/overtake mode begind albon is ridiculous - this was never going to work
oscar finally pits on lap 49
and arvid makes that the 3RD OVERTAKE OF THIS RACE WOW THATS SO MANY OVERTAKES
honestly getting bored of this race this is too much
gap between lewis in p2 and charles in p3 is under 5 second, so if the race ends like this, charles takes p2 as lewis has his 5 second penalty
gasly has a 5 second penalty asw that is 4 DRIVERS now next car for kimi to lap will be george russell... on lap 53
holy shit i would crash into kimi if i were george just so kimi doesnt win but george is likely to be more poised and mature than me ig
stroll has 5 second time penalty oscar is under investigation for speeding in the pits asw PLEASE NO NOT OSCAR HE DID NOTHING WRONG
this is actually getting crazy
there are 6 drivers with penalties for speeding in the pit lane, i think there's an issue with the sensor
no further investigation for george for crossing the line at the pit so i think he has been saved for 10 seconds after his grid slot and crossing the pit exit investigation
the only overtakes that have happened have been orchestrated by the williams pit wall or lap 1 or arvid lindblad
lance stroll has shoved into the wall and it's a safety car FINALLY
lewis and charles is pitting and so is oscar
charles is why the hell are we pitting but honestly why are they not pitting - it makes sense to swap for fresher tyres
what if they get a time second for speeding in the pit lane again, because i think there is a genuine problem with the sensors
honestly this is going to take such a long time to get themselves unlapped
russell did not serve his penalty when he went into the pits and thats not allowed in the regulations... another possible penalty - i think mercedes really fucked up his race ok it was the most boring tace until all these penalties came into play
ohh so they told george to not pit but george came in...? maybe his fault but i wouldnt be happy in that situation eithersafety car ending on lap 65 that was at least 9 laps long
CHARLES LECLERC IS INTO THE BARRIERS FUCK NO
GODDAMIT NOT CHARLES
and theres another safety car
gasly noted for speeding in the pits again
i can feel the pain from all of monaco after that crash possible asphalt on their front wheels that causes them to slide into the barrier st the final corner..?? that's how i see for both charles and lancerussell noted for failing to serve time penalty
red flagged race probably because of that goddamn corner which caught out 2 drivers
gasly 5 second penalty for speeding
drive through penalty for george or not doing his penalty
there are 16 cars still in this race with around 10 laps left
hadjar potential safety car infrigement so... hadjar, russell and gasly all have penalties... is that an oscar piastri podium i see
and lewis' safety car infringement gets removed
AND HERE IS OUR RESTART 10 MINUTES LATER
kimi gets a great start, lewis is fast but not fast enough
sainz gets tapped on the side and then again by franco, causing sainz to spin around
george serves his drive through penalty but he is out of the points
hadjar's safety car infringement penalty is removed but he has a red flag infringement penalty noted, which will be investigated after the race
so 7 cars out and i just want an oscar piastri podium
a lewis hamilton and 2 2025 drivers
very very nuanced race - first half: boring as hell; second half: the most interesting monaco has been because of all the pit lane speeding penalties
see you next week??? icl i have 6 exams next week, screwed for all of them because i spent today watching monaco

MONACO QUALI '26 EDITION
THE STREAK KEEPS ON GOING - 5๏ธโฃ IN A ROW?
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
Q1
and the red lights are out and out goes the 22 cars for q1 out of the pit lane
there is so much traffic here in monaco
gabi bortoleto into the barriers breaking his front suspension after clipping the barrier just as he goes through the nouvelle chicane (think that's how you spell it...? i didn't take french, i take spanish in school ๐ญ)
and with 2 minutes 11 seconds left on the clock there is the red flag
bearman and sainz in danger in p19 and p18
ollie doesnt improve BUT sainz improves to p10
Q2
russell is not improving in his laps and is stuck in p8
meanwhile kimi antonelli is 5 tenths up in p2
idk where audi's pace went, they looked quite good in free practice and thought them as best of the rest
also ferrari?? back down in p4 and p6 cmonnn THEY FED US THE HOPIUM AGAIN JUST TO DISAPPOINT US
Q3
i went through 7 stages of grief in those last minutes of q3
LISTEN I LOVE YOU KIMI but that pole was meant to be charles' - I LITERALLY WROTE CHARLES NAME IN SHARPIE FOR POLE IN MONACO YOU CANNOT TAKE HIM FROM HIM - HE'S GOING TO GO HOME TO HIS RICH ASS PENTHOUSE WITH LEO AND ALEX AND START PLAYING SAD PIANO PIECES. AGAIN.
the way that lewis took provisional pole, then max and then THROUGH GOES KIMI to take pole and my tifosa heart hit a rock bottom just as charles hits the wall and damages his front suspension IN THE EXACT MOMENT THAT KIMI TAKES POLE
my heart could not take this
can mbs go away from kimi ๐ฌ
george's pace was not improving, unfortunately his pace kept failing as he kept braking earlier than he should have
also a lewis hamilton lookalike on the screen was such a jumpscare after qualifying
and there is lewis hamilton thanking the people back at the factory - i fear i have heard that from him at least 100000 times across his career (not saying that's bad because of how considerate he is of all the people who made his career happen) it just gets repetitive
very heartbroken for charles and i can't even mention oscar today because MY DAYS WAS THAT NOT A GOOD QUALIFYING SESSION
about where i expected mclaren's pace to be but still hurts
so maybe see you tmr for the race...? at 2pm for me yayy great timing!! might check out after lap 1 icl tho

CANADIAN GRAND PRIX '26 EDITION
did somebody say kimi antonelli dominance would bore fans?
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
WHAT THE FUCK MCLAREN WHY DO YOU HAVE INTERS
the moment i saw those inters i knew mclaren was screwed
how many formation laps could possibly exist
yh both mclaren drivers knew they were on the wrong startegy AND THE TEAM STILL PUT THEM ON THE INTERS
that track WAS BONE DRY
max is ahead of hamilton in LAP 9 lewis suffering with deployment issues
lap 10, 1 second advantage russell
kimi is trying to make some moves on lap 12 and then yoyo racing
i want a turn 1 touch again
LAP 13 AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY OSCAR IS IN THE PITS
this is not a good race for me - i'm already having no hopeJUST SHOW ME THE REPLAY
ok oscar is getting a penalty for that for sure
THANK GOD there's no team orders between mercedes papaya rules was ready to end me last year
mclarens race is a mess honestly
LAP 16 it's reliability issue for lando but he is back out no worries
i want to be a fly on the mercedes pit wall so badly right now
also max verstappen on the podium is beautiful sight but lewis is hunting him down
i'm sorry but i dont think i will forgive mclaren for their tyre strategy
even the commentators on sky sports said the track was dry on their track walk and so did THEIR DRIVERS
antonelli back at the start of lap 23
yep oscar has a 10 second time penalty but either way i think his race was pretty much over
dw i'm fine, i think i'm numb to feeling - ferrari has trained me for this
YES WHOSE CALL AT MCLAREN WAS INTERS
exactly i blame mclaren for alex albon being punted out of the race by oscar it was not oscar's fault
idk how many times mercedes has locked up
kimi takes p1 and back they go lando has a front row view to the drama
i love this so much i know that lando is disappointed but i know that he is just trying to keep up with george just to keep watching the drama between the mercs
LAP 27 alonso is out after making up 9 places and he is in the pits back into the garage
I DONT CARE ABOUT THE SPONSORS I WANT THE DRAMA I WANT THE FIGHTING
LAP 29 i think the mercs tighting has been pretty clean so far they could have been much uglier (e.g. last year mclaren)
LAP 30 george russell stops well my fantasy team got shat on rn rhanks mercedes I THOUGHT YOU WERE RELIABLE
and a vsc and kimi is having the perfect race
i'm scared to see the george stans' reactions now
charles loses a spot in the pit stop to hadjar
it was a power unit failure for george - i fear that the sabotage rumours will rise up just like the sabotage rumours for oscar last year
i wanted a merc touch but george's car decided to crash out instead of crashing together
oh and george is getting a fine possibly for throwing his headrest out of his car
i desperately want a lestappen podium it's on my bingo card but it's not happening clearly
charles doesnt want to be with his husbandand LAP 40 'somethings broken' I CAN'T IT'S BWOKEN i'm sorry i had to do this - and it's a transmission or gearbox issue
now that more of kimi's radio is being shown on sky sports, i'm learning he's an angrier driver than i expected..
oh and i just noticed all the 2019 rookies are out - ig if one of them is out, they all go out
LAP 43 checo is out - his front wheel just broke off?!?!? i honestly dont know
LAP 46 vsc and pit lane entry is closed due to debrisapparently alonso had a problem with his seat? maybe the vibrations caused his seat to wriggle out of place
bottas gets his 5 second time penalty for... a reason
well i'm glad that george enjoyed the battle with kimi and i definitely did too
charles wants ferrari to SHUT THE FUCK UP
LAP 50 max is catching up to kimi and lewis catching up to max
'vulnerable verstappen' - crofty
isack hadjar is picking up visits to the stewards left and right
LAP 53 vsc again
oscar and hadjar is in the pits to serve their penalties asw
charles almost spins but dw saves himself
lewis is 0.7 from max max is always asking if charles is catching up ๐๐
max will fight until a crash for this p2
my wheel to wheel combat king max
lewis' interactions with the pit on the radio are always my favourite
he for sure misses bono
this is very reminiscent of china, kimi just takes the clean air and flies away
if the stewards need more staff to deal with all these penalties i will gladly work in formula 1
masterful overtake from sir lewis hamilton but max is hunting him back down
isack hadjar has served one penalty but is serving yet and another one - stop and go penalty for isack hadjar and he serves it in the race but loses no positions
ON LAP 67 max is still hunting lewis down still icl i didnt notice kimi winning
OMG DORIANNE IS THERE NEXT TO TOTO
what a race yall, maybe i was not the happiest at the start but it certainly kept me on edge
this girl's thoughts on f1 whenever she needs to vent ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
CANADIAN SPRINT '26 EDITION
GEORGE RUSSELL WINS CANADIAN SPRINT RACE AND OMDS THERE WAS SO MUCH DRAMA
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
23 laps around circuit gilles-villeneuve
lance stroll wheeled off the grid due to suspension before the sprint - but could be out and starting from the pit lane
4 drivers start in the pit (bearman, bottas albon, gasly)
majority are on the mediums except arvid lindblad in hards and several in the midfield on the softs
side note: i love lando's helmet
george is really pointing to the right, everyone makes it through
mercedes has a much better start and then george has a clean start and kimi a little less good stroll did make it out onto the racetrack
LAP 5 isack hadjar engine problem omds and antonelli and russell going down the straight reminde me so much ot last year what deja vu
antonelli goes off piste 'that was very naughty' omg i love you he's funny
i need a canada merc collision now
kimi is gstting a bit more heated - bono is really calming and helping to refocus EVEN TOTO IS HERE
i thought martin brundle said his young child not young charge
LAP 9 isack hadjar is out with engine failure
hamilton is catching up with kimi putting pressure on him
isack hadjar is revived on lap10
after the ferrari experience of last year lewis is really coming alive here in canada
LAP18 (i think) alex albon in the middle of track and george is not very happy but he continues to lead
LAP 20 and i'm just staring at the tiny box showing oscar trying to catch up to hamilton but i think lewis will stay ahead to the end of the race (i think i cursed him please dont come for me i'm sorry team lh44)
millimetres from lewis' rear wheel to the wall of champions - apprently he did hit it
hulkenberg has recieved a 10 second penalty
oscar overtakes hamilton, squeezing him in and charles leclerc zooms past asw
the top 3 are seperate by less than 1.5 seconds and i thought there was no drama... but final lap antonelli overshoots it and cuts the corner and gives back the place to lando
and here is george winning the canadian sprint race BACK TO THE FRONT
oscar and charles seperated by 0.1 at the end
arvid lindblad takes the last points position
checo takes p11 - bringing that cadillac closer to the top 10
that was a good sprint race - loved the tea between the mercs and the lawnmowing work that kimi did - he should be paid by the circuit
i'll be back for qualifying later today after i listen to kimi and george's interviews (they are going to be so pr covered and polished but maybe they'll drop something interesting)
i'l be back at 9PM in the UK ๐ see you later xx
also i just wanted to share this quote from toto: 'we talk about this internally not on the radio'

CANADIAN SPRINT QUALI '26 EDITION
MR SATURDAY (well mr friday for today) IS BACK?!?
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
wait george is really mogging in this picture
also btw i did not unfortunately write down a lot of thoughts because i was filling out my journal whilst watching
as always let me set the scene at around 9.40PM GMT. I sit down and open sky sports after an exhausting day and...
immediately it's alonso ramming into the barricades....
at least he dragged that aston martin to SQ2 for the first time, but unfortunately his car was too damaged to set a time in sq2
meanwhile, lawson caused a red flag in fp1 after his car had a hydraulic leak, and his car was unfortunately unfixable before sprint qualifying so he sits at the back at p22
alex albon as well crashed in fp1 after running over a groundhog i believe (rest in peace groundhog) and sustained too much damage to his car to be fixed before sprint qualifying
please invest some money into alex albon's therapy bills - he's the biggest animal lover and he accidentally ran over a groundhog, i would never recover
however the other williams makes its first sq3 or any type of q3 appearance - carlos sainz's trip to madring maybe took some weight off of his car
otherwise, george russell was on top of the timesheets followed by kimi antonelli and lando norris. it's a mercedes 2x, mclaren 2x, ferrari 2x, red bull 2x and then a racing bull (arvid lindblad) and carlos sainz's williams
honestly arvid had the standout performance for today; today's medal goes to him for driver of the session ๐ ๐ฅณ๐
this girl's thoughts on f1 whenever she needs to vent ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
MIAMI GRAND PRIX '26 EDITION
so.... that certainly was a race ๐ but WE (as in oscar piastri) MADE IT TO THE CHEQUERED FLAG
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
6PM GMT today, starting 3 hours early to avoid the rain, thankfully that didn't change much for me
FROM THE START: nico is promoted from p11 to p10 as isack hadjar is starting from the pits today after being disqualified for his bargeboards being 2mm too big (not the only sad thing to happen to isack today)
everyone starts on mediums minus isack hadjar
๐ด red lights all out and AWAY WE GO to a very dramatic start: immediately mclarens get away quite quickly, kimi locks up but maintains position, max locks up, charles charges forwards up to p2 after a brief collision with max
after turn 1, kimi stayed p1, leclerc p2, norris p3 AND THEN AROUND THE OUTSIDE charles goes to p1
idk where lewis' car got damage but that ferrari has damage and that will haunt him for the rest of the race
max is in p11 after his spin and is slowly moving up the pack again
hulkenberg nose change real quick (can't lie idk where this is from asw, this is lap 2 btw)
Lawson lets max through on lap 2
LAP 4: kimi gets the overtake done for P1 again, and charles retakes again, another yo-yo battle
LAP 6: isack hadjar hits the wall, and smacks his hand in frustration at steering wheel. meanwhile, behind him, pierre gasly also goes off and does a full 360ยฐ spin with a collision with pierre gasly ('I'm ok' THANK YOU PIERRE that was a crazy crash)
meanwhile asw norris gets the pass on antonelli for P2 on LAP 6 - so a lot happened on lap 6 clearly
Also on LAP 6, VSC and then a lap later out goes the full safety car (i miss the aston martin safety car)
BTW (watching the cool down room) lando is really haunted by being undercut by kimi
back to the race: LAP 7, during the safety car, max is pitting for HARDS ๐ (here i drew the eyes asw)
lawson has damage and also has to go into the pits and can't come out (but facing a possible grid penalty for canada)
so quick recap 3 DNFs so far in 9 out of 57 laps
everyone's race engineers keep hinting at rain, ranging from 2 laps away to 10 laps away
and here i wrote ' I don't care what anyone says I predict a Charles Leclerc WIN' and subsequently wrote 'All I'm seeing is a Charles Leclerc P1' with the p1 circled and with sparkles. (hint: that did not come true)
LAP 12: and there we go racing again as the safety car goes back in
IN P4 oscar piastri goes back ahead of russell
LAP 13: norris takes the lead once again and theres a yo-yo overtake with leclerc and antonelli for P2
max keeps making up places in p12, whilst piastri extends his advantage on russell
VERSTAPPEN - has a possible violation for not crossing the line at the pit exit, which is noted by the stewards, but will look at it after the race ๐ค
oscar and charles with some yo-yo overtaking once again
LAP 21: george boxes for hard tyre
LAP 22: charles responds but a slow pitstop of 3.7 seconds and is now behind russell (even charles is questioning why they stopped)
LAP 25: a little bit of rain has arrived ๐ง but seemingly no effect
LAP 26: max and lewis are fighting again today but for p4 today instead of p6
LAP 27: antonelli pits, and norris responds right afterwards
hamilton pits a lap after, and oscar responds to prevent the undercut
so LAP 29 + 30: antonelli (p1) and norris (p2) are now in front of verstappen in p3 as max's tyres fall off a bit
the yo-yo overtakes were getting a bit too much for me, russell and leclerc, piastri and russell by lap 31
LAP 33: radio message from kimi, i have no idea what he said but i got 'problem' and that's about it
LAP 35, oscar up to 5th ahead of george russell and another yo-yo ughh, i'm sorry but i am sick of these yo-yo overtakes
once kimi's gearbox is fixed, norris catches up again on LAP 36 - maybe the problems make kimi faster - BRING BACK THE ISSUES IT MAKES HIM FASTER
LAP 42: i was bored, and so were the commentators
then, another rant to the walls when the commentators said 'there's a big of a difference in performance between the mclarens this weekend' I HATE YOU BRITISH BIAS - where was this COMMENTARY IN JAPAN when lando was WAY BEHIND oscar
SIDE NOTE: why is careless whisper by george michael playing in the post-race interview with toto in the paddock whilst toto GLAZES kimi like a krispy kreme donut
anyways the true drama came on LAP 47, when the lestappen fight i had been waiting for
max and charles have a fight back and forth, allowing oscar to catch up
meanwhile, WAY ahead, kimi is complaining with downshift problems
'maxarena' wing in action (I LOVE THIS, it sounds like max's ballerina name, or it sounds like italian brainrot)
LAP 50: 7 laps left and it is: kimi, lando, charles, oscar, max, george and lewis
aston martin is set for their first double finish this year!! give the entire team champagne for that alone ๐พ
LAP 54: it's got me squinting at that tiny box for oscar' pov of his fight with charles CMON SKY SPORTS
russell has front wing damage and he is sparking like crazy and max thinks george has hit his tyre...
LAP 57: the most interesting lap surprisingly! piastri and leclerc still fighting
here they panned to rafael nadal holding the chequered flag and i got really excited because LET'S GO RAFA (my retired GOAT) i love all the retired tennis players at miami this year
oscar gets p3 AND WTF CHARLES HAS SPUN, he is not out, he has clipped the wall and has damage but desperately trying to make it to the finish line
george takes p4, max gets passed charles at the last turn, so gets p5
lando is not happy on the radio
SO OVERALL RECAP (sorry i yapped): KIMI GETS THE HATTRICK OF WINS; lando is unhappy in p2, around 3 seconds behind kimi; oscar makes a great comeback race for p3; george gets p4; max gets passed charles for p5; and charles limps home to p6
HOWEVER, there are so many investigations for various violations throughout this race, so we cannot confirm these positions (and i can't add to my f1 journal)
NEVERTHELESS, KIMI ANTONELLI MAKES HISTORY FOR ANOTHER RECORD IN THE RECORD BOOKS (the first driver to convert his first 3 poles into wins...?) ๐ฎ๐น and a jannik sinner madrid win ๐ SO GREAT DAY FOR ITALIANS (i'm not even italian but i accept being an honarary one) we will wait to see for any results of all our investigations and I hope to see everybody once again for Canada in 22-24 April! ๐จ๐ฆ

KIMI HAT-TRICK UPLOADING EVERYBODY ๐ฎ๐น 1๏ธโฃ2๏ธโฃ
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
9PM in the UK for Miami qualifying, and you know that I love a good qualifying session. Laptop out, watching the F1 opening titles before the qualifying, Crofty yapping in my ear updating me on everything. Yes. Perfection
Q1: we begin the session with a banging lap from max verstappen - MV1 (ig it's mv3 now) is BACK and he set the pace until charles and kimi came along to snatch that place in q1.
But the real headliner (at least for me) is oscar piastri making me really sweat today. continuously in q1, he was not putting up a better lap for the timesheets, I think I could feel the sweat dripping from my eyes (that was probably also my tears)
A (simply) lovely quote from oscar at the end of q1 after being told that he's safely through to q2 - 'Safely is an ambitious term' MY GUY ๐ค
and yes zak brown, what was this power issue with OSCAR'S CAR - please let it be fixable because damn i think mclaren sold their car's soul for that mclaren 1-2 in the sprint and now have no pace and no performance.
Ollie was p6 in q1, ik everybody didnt put their best laps in for q1 but goddamn it felt like seeing an old friend
williams safely through to q2, looking better than sprint quali (i'll regret saying this later)
Q2: OH LMAO THE DISRESPECT TO HULK WHEN CROFTY AND MARTIN BRUNDLE SAY - 'HE SURE LIKES P11' that is diabolical but hilarious i have to say
williams sit p14 and p16 so not that much better apparently (they qualified p14 and p15 in the sprint yesterday, but albon had a 5 place grid penalty so was pushed down to p19 in the sprint)
Where's Q3 ollie bearman? ๐
ok I love alex albon and his radio messages: 'What a joke man!' everyone PLEASE donate to my gofundme page for alex's therapy bills this year, he needs them
Q3: as everyone is pulling out of the pits, george charges in front of kimi and kimi goes 'bwoah that was close' - WHOEVER THE RADIO MESSAGE TRANSCRIBER IS, I LOVE YOU (you are so hilarious, please don't go bald, i'll sell my soul otherwise)
Max with crazy pace today in qualifying but where is mclaren's domination from the sprint
A great comment on the mclaren f1's instagram post: 'Did zak eat the boost as a cookie wtf happened?' thank you goofyahh_pvt I AGREE WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR PACE
Anyways i have been converted back off the mclaren hype train and hopped back onto the mclaren failure and mtc burning down train. (i'm still only 13 miles away from the MTC, zak brown - THAT'S A HALF MARATHON, EASY)
kimi hat-trick win upcoming...? let's see how he does in the rain
And after seeing kimi in that purple suit (please never bring this back mercedes, you guys aren't that level of diva that you can pull this colour off) i need to wash my eyes out with bleach, i'm so glad i haven't seen them in interviews this weekend because goddamn that purple is purple. next time, i recommend a darker purple, really dark purple, maybe black? maybe just your normal race suit??
ANYWAYS, after successfully jumping off the mclaren hype train and jumping back onto the kimi hat-trick win train, I will see you at 9PM tmr GMT for a wet race! Let's hope it doesn't get cancelled - knock on wood โ๏ธ๐ชตโ๏ธโ๏ธ
(side note: FORZA KIMI, I WANT TO SEE A JANNIK SINNER MADRID WIN AND A KIMI ANTONELLI MIAMI WIN - DOUBLE ITALIAN WINS)
but if i think about it, wet race=max verstappen domination.. but we will see

MIAMI SPRINT '26 EDITION
SO #MCLAREN DOMINATION IS BACK (it's been one sprint race and i've been converted)
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
Beginning from the very start, let's set the scene: it's 5PM in the UK (I thought the race was starting at 4PM icl and I was opening sky then but nevermind, 1 hour later I was back).
As always, I had to cautiously check the F1 app to confirm that oscar piastri my king was not last minute wheeled off track or had crashed on the way to the grid (I revisited that trauma last night when I watched a tiktok replaying that scene and I couldn't go back on my phone for the rest of the night for the sake of my own mental health)
BACK ONTO THE SPRINT RACE: immediately on the reconnaissance lap, Hulk had to retire due to a fire from his car, sufferring his second DNS, poor guy. Arvid Lindblad was set to start from the pit lane but he just never made it back out on track (idk where he went, maybe his car was too juiced up by that crazy highlighter livery)
Alex Albon also was demoted down to P19 from P14 after facing track limits penalty, which led to the deletion of his time in SQ2 yesterday - hasn't he faced enough pain LEAVE ALEX ALONE
START OF THE RACE: lights out and away we go to the Miami sprint race of 2026, and immediate poor start from kimi (CMON my guy has not been improving his starts during the spring break) and Oscar and Charles gets the jump on him, pushing kimi down to P4 before turn 1
Down in P6, george overtakes max to get P5 yay, leaving max in p6 and lewis in p7 (... i'll talk about this in a second)
Lap 2 and charles is already complaining about the 19 year old behind him ('kimi is SO BAD at wheel to wheel' - this is going to be replayed in my head everyday now, in the radio message hall of fame)
lewis and max, old rivals and are now fighting but not for p1 and p2 but instead for p6 and p7 (๐คทโโ๏ธ i'm gen z and so brainrotted that i drew the 6 7 meme while writing thoughts down - i apologise for my behaviour and my contribution to the downfall of society)
also random side note: i am forever going to mourn the hundredths of a second when they show the gap between the cars. ik that there's a +1.3 gap between the lead car and the car behind but i want to know whether it's +1.31 or +1.39. hundredths and thousandths of a second matter! #fightingforhundredthsofasecondrights
the racing bulls livery is blinding my god, i think they just covered it with flow vis at this point and claimed that it's a new livery
george does NOT want to stay behind his teammate so makes the move at the end of lap 7 down in turn 17 and keeps it down turn 1 for lap 8 but is overtaken by kimi again later on this lap
lewis and max fight dirty, both going off track, max making the ovetake and is forced to give the place back so THROUGH GOES HAMILTON
but in lap 10, back goes max to p6 and lewis stay p7 (right here i drew the hands with 6 and 7... i am so sorry, i'm ashamed of myself)
estie bestie's car... wait nevermind it's my guy ollie's car loses a piece of his rear (idk what it was but something flew off) and i think that's helping him go faster?!?! (but where is the vsc or safety car)
black and white flag for kimi on lap 12 (i'm glad I noted this down because this comes back to bite him in the ass later)
and here comes zak brown, hell nahh, sky sports please stop bringing him here. also why are oscar's rears suffering - ZAK i am a 35 minute drive from the MTC, watch your back because I will go and hunt you down
williams is fighting with the haas which is a good sign of improvement, but alex albon hits the debris from ollie's car and gets damage to his nose, so needs a nose change on his car PLEASE i'm going to end up starting a gofundme page for alex for his therapy bills (that nose change also took FOREVER and he comes out over 16 seconds behind bottas in the cadillac who is in P19 (insert michael scott screaming 'NOO! GOD! NOO! GOD! PLEASE NO!)
LAP 14 out of 19 (get me out of here) charles is catching up to oscar...
hadjar on lap 17 with a very opportunistic and gutsy lunge to overtake franco colapinto
LAP 18 - charles goes too deep in turn 11 and loses a lot of grip on his tyres, scuffing them up, and slows down his gain on oscar
mclaren 1-2 finish same as last year
kimi antonelli is noted for a track limits violation in the final lap, with a possible 5 second penalty which was ultimately confirmed yes by the stewards - leaving him sitting in P4 to P6, behind george (his mother) and max (his father) and kimi is in front of lewis (his uncle) #familytree
Sooo... see you at 9PM in the UK for quali? ๐โฑ๏ธ

MIAMI FP1 + SPRINT QUALI '26 EDITION
WEEKS OF EMPTY BORING WEEKENDS BUT WE ARE BACK IN MIAMI ๐ฌโฑ๏ธ
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
A little update on the past weeks of my life: emptiness. _________ . I was meant to be doing work and #studying because I have exams but wait, screw that! I decided to sit around, twiddle my thumbs and wait for light to come back into my life in the form of this stupid sport (I love you F1 but please, there are so many improvements to be made)
But we are back in Miami! (... not my favourite grand prix tbh and I don't think it's anyone's but I'll pretend to fw it just for this weekend because it has been too long) I was also so starved of F1 that I sat and watched 45 minutes of FP1 because yes, what we go was a delightful extra 30 minutes of FP1 instead of two grand prixs (another reason to hate Trump)
BACK ON TOPIC: F1 is back after the month long unexpected spring break and 10 out of the 11 teams have decided to bring upgrades to the car (Aston Martin being the only team to not bring any). Notably, Ferrari are bringing a grand total of 11 upgrades with Cadillac bring 9 and Red Bull, McLaren and Williams bringing 7. Mercedes only bringing 2 to Miami, and choosing to bring most of their upgrades for Montreal.
FP1 was likely a very interesting and necessary session for all the teams but as a spectator, I was once again reminded why I never watched free practice sessions. Majority of teams spent the 90 minutes on the hards and mediums with some soft tyre practice in the last 15 minutes of the session
Those last 15 minutes gave us (well me) hope for a Lestappen podium with Charles Leclerc topping the session with Max Verstappen in P2 and Oscar Piastri (my king) in P3. Kimi finished 15 minutes early from the session due to issues, not with the car I think but it was something (I can't remember tbh, sorry I'm a bad reporter)
Anyways FP1 will never be completely representative of the order as always so let's move onto the start of the drama: sprint qualifying (yayy.... let's just get this over with)
From the entire weekend, Lando has been very strong on this track, and he really showed that even in FP1 (the end results may not show it but he was at the top of the session for a long time and I don't think he did any soft tyre runs in FP1, whereas the top 6 in FP1 all got their times from a soft tyre lap). But I have to admit it was a surprise that he now sits P1 for the sprint race tmr (the upgrades really levelled out the playing field). This also has ruined the Mercedes front row lockout streak of 2026, having had a 1-2 in qualifying in every single competitive qualifying session so far this year, until today.
Next to him on the grid in P2 is Kimi Antonelli. After doing his lap at the very end of the SQ3 session, he snatched P2 away from Oscar Piastri by just under 2 hundredths of a second, destroying the McLaren front row lockout for the sprint, and also showing again how strong he is at Miami (as he took sprint pole last year at Miami asw)
Behind his teammate on the grid will be Oscar Piastri. It's the second out of two times that Oscar has been outqualified by Lando in sprint qualifying this year, but Oscar has successfully out-qualified Lando in all the grand prix qualifying sessions (he just couldn't start the race for two out of the three times). Oscar hasn't had the best of weekends compared to Lando so far, he hadn't been entirely happy with his laps in FP1 but I think sprint quali went pretty well and he should be pleased
P4 is Charles Leclerc, followed by Max Verstappen in P5. They had a little fun battle on track in FP1 which will no doubt be in a hundred edits by tomorrow. I was hoping for a Lestappen podium any time soon so these two need to get hustling and make up a few places
P6 is George Russell. Very underwhelmed by his performance today, and I know he is too - UNLESS George is just sandbagging like crazy. I don't understand why his lap times are so poor compared to Kimi's, especially since Miami is an ok track for him, he was P4 in the sprint last year and P3 in the grand prix, behind the McLarens so I don't see why he's having issues
Hamilton completes the top 7 in the sprint. Next to him on the 4th row of the grid is Franco Colapinto, who is fueled by the many Argentinian fans in Miami who are chanting his name. Very impressive performance from him and outqualifying his teammate.
Hadjar hasn't been having the best start to 2026 either - something that I think has not been discussed enough. Or maybe just that Red Bull grouped together have had a bad start (which everyone has talked about) But after an impressive P3 qualifying in Australia, I feel like I haven't seen much of the French driver, and he has simply been a consistent Q3 entrant but has always sat near the bottom of it.
Gasly completes the first 5 rows. Then from P11 - P16 is Bortoleto (P11), Hulkenberg, Bearman, Albon, Sainz, Lindblad (P16).
Is it a first double Williams Q2 appearance? I think so. I know that Carlos Sainz just scraped the bottom of Q2 in Japan and Alex Albon did the same in Australia but first time they both made it out of the trenches together. Slow and steady improvements for Williams
Sad to see Ollie Bearman in P13, after a very successful first 2 races of 2026, ignoring Japan. But P13 is pretty good, and again outqualifying Esteban Ocon
From P17 to P22 is Lawson (P17), Ocon, Perez, Bottas, Alonso and Stroll (P22)
Woww shocked to see Cadillac not even being at the very bottom of the timesheets. They brought in 9 upgrades for Miami, and I'm not sure whether it's showing but at least they're not P21 and P22.
Not entirely surprising to see Alonso and Stroll in P21 and P22. I believe that Stroll didn't even get out of the garage for sprtin qualifying, I didn't catch exactly why but nevertheless, he sits P22. Also, I'm not sure when Aston Martin is planning on bringing their upgrades in, they are the only team in Miami who have not brought any new upgrades to their car and it shows. Hopefully next race weekend we'll see something better, some improvements
Honestly, I may have forgotten to write down a couple of my impromptu thoughts during the practice session and the qualifying but cut me some slack pleasee
I'll see you at 5PM in the UK tmr for the sprint race! I'm actually watching it for once so see you there โฑ๏ธ๐๐จ

KIMI ANTONELLI IS A 2X WINNER ๐ AND THE YOUNGEST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER IN HISTOTY๐ค๐ค
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
Up at 5.30AM here in the UK this morning ๐ and I cautiously get F1 TV open... everyone seems to be on track. I got my phone open, OP81 was on track and fine. THANK LORD
so the race start was incredibly interesting: kimi has a poor race start from p1 to p6. oscar takes the race lead, holding leclerc and russell back
(watching the post-race interviews rn) ik i'm not the only one bothered by mercedes fits all weekend, it looks like they're splattered by paint not a wolf
then LAP 9 - george russell makes a move to take p1, momentarily taking the lead at turn 16 but then oscar had been conserving energy and deploys it down the straight, taking back the race lead
after oscar said that they can hold position as long as they don't screw up his pit stop, i had a 5 minute rant to the wall about how i would go to woking to burn down the mtc if oscar's race was destroyed by a bad pit stop
george russell pits notably on lap 21 ๐
BUT TURNS OUT mclaren didn't ruin his race - a safety car comes out on lap 22 due to ollie bearman's crash.
ollie bearman crashes after franco colapinto brakes in front of him when he's trying to make a move around (icl i was not paying attention at this part also they did not feature it live)
anyways, russell crashes out (verbally, not literally) due to missing out his pit stop opportunity during the safety car
this allows kimi to take the lead with a 20 second safety car, and then we never really see him again as he ends the race over 10 seconds up the road from p2
crazy p2 battle between the ferraris, george russell and oscar piastri
i was honestly living for the ferrari battle between lewis and charles
max spent the entirety of that race behind pierre, i thought he would overtake the alpine, but damn is that red bull an actual wheelbarrow
this is actually my favourite podium that has ever existed, i am vibrating with excitement
oscar is such a yapper in the cool-down room, he's such a nerd ๐คโ๏ธ
kimi on the podium - WHY IS BRO CHECKING HIS WATCH DURING HIS NATIONAL ANTHEM, he just wants the champagne
i'm fairly sure i missed a lot, i fear i spent a lot of time stressing about oscar piastri's race so we can see my bias creeping in here
but here we are now 8.19AM in the UK and i cannot wait for miami on may 1-3

I BELIEVE IN KIMI ANTONELLI ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ X2 RACE WINNER LOADING
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
KIMI ANTONELLI TAKES POLE X2 IN A ROW
george russell was plagued with issues for the entirety of qualifying, similar to China, two weeks ago
oscar piastri takes p3, after TWO RACE WEEKENDS DNSs. ๐ค๐ค hopefully he can start this race and look for a podium finish, or even just a race finish would be great, but as always the ferraris are haunting the narrative
charles leclerc at the end of q3 had an amazing sector 1, making it a purple sector, but a lock up in sector 2 made it only good enough for p4. but the ferraris have their amazing starts so it's likely to see both ferraris making the way significantly up the order by turn 1
lando norris was plagued with reliability issues since yesterday's free practice sessions but made it out to come 4 thousandths of a second behind charles leclerc, securing his place on the third row
joining lando on the third row is lewis hamilton. after his first podium finish for ferrari last race weekend, this week's quali had no major issues for lewis but he sits at the bottom of the top 3 teams rn at suzuka
from p7-p10, we have our surpise q3 qualifiers: pierre gasly, isack hadjar, gabriel bortoleto, and arvid lindblad. red bull has solidified themselves as a part of the midfield tbh, we will have to see if their upgrades for miami will change this... our alpine, audi and racing bulls guests for q3 were a lovely surprise, especially arvid lindblad who just wiggled into q3 after knocking out a certain 4x world champion...
the biggest news after q2 was max verstappen's finish of p11 in qualifying, after being knocked out of q3 by this year's one and only rookie. describing the red bull as 'undriveable', red bull will need to step up their game for upcoming rounds. after 4 straight years of max domination on this track, having taken pole and the win at suzuka since 2022, max is down 10 places from where he was, this time last year
esteban ocon, nico hulkenberg, liam lawson, franco colapinto and carlos sainz were our p12-p16 qualifiers. carlos sainz was a great surprise to see in q2, despite coming last in q2.
5 hundredths behind carlos sainz is his teammate alex albon, in p17
ollie bearman, after two consecutive q3s in 2026, failed to leave q1, making him sit in p18 on the grid for tomorrow's race
sergio perez and valterri bottas for cadillac sit over a second behind ollie bearman, taking p19 and p20. however the new team are not at the very end of the grid...
aston martin, with their partnership with honda (making this one of the team's home races) sit at p21 and p22. fernando alonso, after skipping yesterday's free practice due to the birth of his first child, sits 3 tenths ahead of lance stroll

KIMI ANTONELLI IS A GRAND PRIX WINNER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FORMULA 1 ๐ฎ๐น + LEWIS HAMILTON'S FIRST PODIUM WITH FERRARI ๐
my full thoughts down below โฌ๏ธ
I WAS OPENLY TEARING UP WHEN KIMI'S RADIO MESSAGE WITH BONO CAME OUT
sorry let me start from the start of the race
mclaren really likes to play with my emotions, i had hopes for oscar's second home race and then BOOM he's taken away into the garage AND HE CAN'T START. AGAIN.
SECOND DNS OF THE SEASON AND IT'S ONLY THE SECOND RACE
so double dns from mclaren, no alex albon, no gabriel bortoleto - all before the race even starts
off shoots the ferraris as expected, lewis hamilton taking the lead of the race momentarily
the commentators kept confusing kimi with russell
horrible start from max, i can already imagine him seething with rage
then bye goes stroll, safety car comes out, RIGHT AFTER MAX PITS, so double whammy for max (not the last of his troubles this race)
amazing alpines v haas + max third wheeling, all for p5 in this race
the ferrari internal battle will be papaya rules x2, i'm convinced that there will be statement about how they are 'both number one drivers' ๐ ๐คก shall we call it prancing horse rules? horsie rules?
#let's make horsie rules a thing
horsie rules = new papaya rules
charles definitely used his tyres up too much, letting lewis go p3... PODIUM?? LETS GOO
anyways the ferraris' battle let george through and THERE HE GOES, he's 15 seconds up the road and no longer in sight
alonso out due to vibrations - OMG THE HONDA ENGINE WILL MAKE ME END MY LIFE FOR FERNANDO ALONSO - there are serious safety issues with that aston though, they should be concerned for their drivers' health
also when stroll got onto the moped, i think crofty said 'i hope that's not a honda moped' I'M DYING
OUT GOES MAX WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES, whenever i see a car start slowing down, i just know that they're gone
oscar being interviewed midway through the race, poor guy ik he is holding back his tears
THE LOCK UP FROM KIMI IN THE LAP 55, OMG GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK, I THOUGHT/HOPED IT WAS RUSSELL
beautiful message from toto at the end, omg i love how loved kimi is at mercedes, and as he should be
triple mercedes podium today, especially with bono and lewis, it was so bittersweet
my personal driver of the day was ollie bearman, but obviously kimi's race was undeniably dominant and a great maiden win from him

CHINESE SPRINT + QUALI '26 EDITION
unfortunately did not wake up this morning at 3AM for the sprint - today i chose to prioritise sleep
my only thoughts (just from the results of the sprint) - george russell domination once again, very happy for carlos sainz for not being in the bottom 6, rip arvid lindlad, not sure what happened
apparently kimi had a time penalty so that's why he went down the order
just thinking of how many photos of george they have to take for all these winning posters
up at 7AM today, thank you f1, this is the earliest i can get up
NOO WILLIAMSS CMON
'Terrible!' - Alex Albon after Q1 - my only thoughts as well
i fear the second seat curse has come to haunt isack hadjar's narrative, or maybe it's just the car itself icl
WHAT THE HECK WHAT HAPPENED TO GEORGE' CAR??
had to take the mercedes back to the garage to be reconnected via its umbilical cord
the commentarors are really hyping the potential of kimi's pole position
OMG LETSS GOO KIMI OMG YES YOUNGEST POLE POSITION SITTER EVER

AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX '26 EDITION
AGAIN, here i am WAKING UP AT 4AM ON A SUNDAY FOR 22 RICH MEN DRIVING AROUND IN CIRCLES
and then i open sky sports and they're interviewing toto wolff, and the interviewer casually mentions 'like oscar crashing earlier'
SORRY WHAT?? and i have to find out through THAT INTERVIEW THAT MY BELOVED DRIVER IS OUT OF HIS HOME RACE BEFORE IT EVEN STARTS
as somebody wrote, 'aus gp curse wins again'
my reaction ๐ซ๐ซ
rip hulk, poor guy, but gabi did bring home points for audi's debut race
for the actual race, a crazy launch of the line from charles leclerc and a lovely swapping of positions between charles and george for the first laps of the race before FERRARI CHOOSES A MCLAREN QATAR STRATEGY
direct quote from me during the race 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU FERRARI, YOU HAVE A GOOD CAR BUT SHIT STRATEGY STILL'
it was very funny when george was already raging when charles made an aggressive defensive move at the beginning parts of the race, another great george crashout moment
before vsc, i fear the aus curse is on isack hadjar asw, maybe he's part australian because poor guy, he had such a great couple days and it was going to be such a good start to his red bull season. never finishing an aus gp apparently for isack hadjar
then fernando alonso retires.. unsurprising, but THEN HE COMES BACK?? and is +10 laps behind Russell?? fernando is not retiring ever
same thing happens with stroll, assuming that aston are let back on the track because they desperately need all this data to FIX THEIR CAR OMDS
lewis being ferrari's lead strategist ๐คก
arvid lindblad was having a FIRE DEBUT RACE, absolutely incredible from him, and points already, also out-qualifying and finishing ahead of lawson, his more experienced team mate. really hope he doesn't get demoted to rb
george russell and kimi antonelli 1-2 for the first race, but i think that kimi will have a shot for wdc this year, maybe he won't get it, but he might be a big contender along with charles - if ferrari continues to have this shit strategy calls and their developments are bad, maybe a 2016 repeat..?
kimi had a great race after a not great start but recovered very well imo
i think lewis had great pace today, looking a lot happier and hopefully a podium in china for lewis?? it's been too long for him
max's incredible drive from p20 to p6 - damnn, he was just overtaking left and right, sadly a little unsurprising because this is just a norm for him
the max vs lando near the end was also very good to see, lando had a great defence i have to say, but the mclaren is not a speedy car evidently - mclaren needs to develop their car fast if they even want to consider fighting for podiums, especially when ferrari and mercedes are on a complete different level of rocketship compared to red bull and mclaren
yay for checo finishing for cadillac, even if it was +3 laps behind george
another australian cursed today - valterri bottas asked to stop during the race
do we think that stroll has severe nerve damage now... he did race for a surprisingly long time but if what they said was true about the vibrations causing nerve damage to their hands, i would be worried for the aston martin drivers' health
proud of ollie for p7! the best of the rest behind the top 4 teams, he had a great result
really can't think of anything else atm, but i should go back to sleep
8/10 opening race, would rate higher if oscar managed to race in it, but very entertaining and a good look into what the rest of the year is going to be like
if you guys want to ask me on my opinions on anything else (on this race, or any drivers or the teams or any f1 related news), feel free to comment and bring up more - would love to see your opinions and thoughts asw ๐ซถ๐ซถ
