Max's eyes
Who does Max think about when he hears the number 3? WELL DANIEL. I think some people need a reminder 🥰 like it's DANIEL and then he literally has to think about it to find ppl.
Daniel Ricciardo — Destination One, 2011
thank you @felicity-smoak-is-my-goddess!
people talk about how we need to bring back "don't feed the trolls" rhetoric for modern internet ragebait and I agree but also I think the most useful thing from the Old Internet that I miss is LURKING
be a lurker. just read things and think about them without feeling the need to weigh in or call out or disseminate everything you encounter. it's so nice and so freeing and it's a good way to learn things.
I have frequently regretted getting involved in shit that didn't involve me online but you know what I've never regretted doing? Lurking. literally lurk moar
According to your logic it's ok to hope that the best team does not win because you personally dislike them for no reason! ok sure!
Yes, this is literally how being a fan of any sport ever works
Daniel: I hope Max does well! Fan: Me too. I’m calling it, it’s gonna be MV5 year. Daniel: I feel ya! Yeah, and he has number three now, so it's cool.

“The never ending story of gasly vs ocon continues in the battle for ninth position” BRO WHAT is their problem
(x) & (x)
and so the championship battle for carlos' attention begins
Oh so I see the new buzzword phrase for f1 fans this season is “manufactured overtakes”.
It’s literally race one. A quarter of the grid DNF’d. Aston Martin retired and then un-retired Fernado Alonso so he could drive 3 seconds slower than everyone else in an electrical torture chamber. Max Verstappen gained 16 places. Drivers from 8 different teams got points. It’s been 58 laps…Maybe give it a fucking minute, yeah?
weeeeee round one is done thank goodness nothing bad happened!
today is international women's day. a great day to remind you all f1 academy kicks off their fourth season on March 13th. this is one of the longest running female only series in motorsport history (second to kyojo cup with 10 seasons) and brings support from all Formula 1 teams and a plethora of outside sponsors belonging to global brands (tommy hilfiger, puma, wella, gatorade, american express, among others).
you can watch all their sessions live on their youtube channel every race weekend.
while flawed and still on development, the F1 academy championship is an iniciative that has not only helped drivers like Marta Garcia and Abbi Pulling find new highs in endurance (ELMS) and single seaters (GB3) that would have otherwise been impossible due to budgetary restrictions, but has also increased female participation at grassroots levels, with an increase of 3-5 to 25% of girls participating in COTFA only in their first year of partnership with the series.
the narrative in motorsports is shifting and we as fans have a huge part in it, supporting women not for their potential as diversity quota fillers but because we now, given the same resources and support as boys, they can be on the path to become some of the next greats of the sport.
