Actually, I know it’s a little shocking, but I haven’t watched the finale yet, with all the things happening with my living situation and then the shelter-in-place order happening almost immediately after it’s been hard to get any time to myself, so I’ve been waiting (and avoiding spoilers besides the finale episode title) so i can watch it with my boyfriend

When Steven hugs you, he hugs you tight
He loves to give great, big, bear hugs
Sometimes he squeezes you so hard that you lose your breath and can’t catch it for a good minute
You still love every single second of it though
Every time you’re turned away from him, he stealthily walks up behind you and holds you from behind
If you’re standing at the counter making cereal? Oh, here he comes. Staring out the window at the beach? There he is again. Just very slowly, ᶜᵃʳᵉᶠᵘˡˡʸ walking while looking down at your phone? He’s right behind you, of course
He always, a l w a y s puts his head on your shoulder if it’s a hug from behind
When you have to go home for a night or two or go to work/school, He’s gotta hug you for at least 10 minutes
probably has shed a tear once or twice when he had to stop early
Loves stuffing his face in the crook of your neck
gives you soft, innocent smooches on the neck and blushes so hard
When he’s super happy or excited to see you which is all the time he definitely lifts you off of the ground and spins you around
He just absolutely loves to be able to know that you’re safe in his arms and never wants to ever let you go from his grip

Time of the month

“Hello! This is probably a weird question, but how do you think older Steven would react to the reader's time of the month occurring? (Headcanons for this would be nice, but you don't have to.)”

Steven would be so so caring towards you
He’d be at your beck and call constantly, barely ever leaving you alone for more than 15 minutes
Whatever you wanted he would rush to get it for you
Feminine products/pain medication? He’d drive to the store and buy some extra just in case you needed it. Snacks? He’d already have a supply hidden from Amythest specifically for this. Heating pad for cramps? Right in the bottom drawer of his dresser.
He’s so attentive and loving to you
When you’re having bad cramps and nothing is helping whatsoever he’ll have you curled up in his arms and softly stroke your hair until they subside
if you asked he’d rub your tummy to help make them more bearable even if you didn’t ask he’d suggest it
This one time you woke up from spending the night and noticed that you accidentally bled through onto his sheets
You felt so humiliated and embarrassed
“Steven, I’m so sorry, I really didn’t mean to I wasn’t supposed to start for another couple of days, I’ll clean it up, I’ll even get you new sheets if you want”
Tears were definitely welling up in your eyes
But he just gently wiped them away, brought you into a hug and-
“Sweetheart, it’s okay, it’s completely fine, I just want to know if you’re feeling alright, do you have any pain right now, at all? Here, I’ll go run you a shower, you can wear my clothes when you get out”
After showering, you walked into his room to him under the blankets of a freshly made bed, snacks at the bottom of it, and an electric heating pad all plugged in and warmed up
“What did I ever do to deserve you?” this made him blush so much
“I was just thinking that since you’re probably not going to be feeling good today, we could have a day in and just watch movies”
Cuddling that entire day was nonstop
You really can’t ask for anyone who treats you better than him

Wowza, does this boy love cuddling
Cuddling is probably his favorite thing to do, especially after a long day for one(or both) of you
Every single chance you two get to cuddle, he’s there
Before you’re even up the stairs he’s already in his bed with his arms opened wide for you
He absolutely adores spooning with you
He offers to be the big spoon most of the time, but sometimes wants to be little spoon just so you’ll hold him
Hair stroking is a must happen for either one of you; He’s either playing with your hair or having you run your fingers through his
When you get a little scared from his room being so dark and seeing shadows from the window cascade across the walls, he pulls you even tighter and gives you soft kisses on the top of your head
“it’s alright, I’m here, i’ll keep you safe”
If you were to snuggle closer to his chest or give him a soft kiss on the lips, you’d definitely see a bright pink blush set across his cheeks
You’d be hearing a soft “I love you so much” every single time he’s starting to drift to sleep
He would pull you closer towards him in the middle of the night and probably lace his fingers with yours even though he’s sound asleep
The next morning, he’d hurry to buy a nightlight to plug into his wall so you’ll feel more comfortable

At first, he would try to be calm and collected about it
He’d rush to your side to make sure you were alright, if you weren’t, he’d try his best to console you and help you feel better
but if you were, oh boy
Now Steven doesn’t get very upset about too much, because he’s such a sweetheart pacifist but if someone had purposely caused harm to his s/o, he’d be furious
“What’s your problem, huh? They weren’t doing anything!
He’d probably shove the person back a little too hard while yelling honestly
If they wanted to continue causing problems, he’d most definitely fight for you, because that’s the gentlemanly thing to do, but, of course, if you asked him not to, he would immediately stop
Usually, seeing Steven become angry like this was uncommon for most, especially when he starts to turn a bit pink, so they’d back off
As soon as they were out of his eyesight, he’d go back to you and just-
“Are you okay?” “yeah, i’m alright” “are you sure? because i can carry you if you want” “Steven, I promise I’m fine” “Are you completely sure you’re-“ and this would just go on until you finally cave and let him carry you back to the temple
He’d definitely completely and utterly “baby” you for the rest of the day rest of the week if you’d let him

Dear GOD, this boy is so sweet towards you because he just loves you so much
He wants to hold you constantly and be close to you all the time
His compliments for you are nonstop, once he’s started there’s no way of stopping him unless you grab his face and give him a smooch
As soon as you show any affection towards him more than small kisses on the cheek or hand holding he goes completely pink and has the biggest smile on his face
if there’s ever a chance where you both can cuddle, you better believe he’s right there with you in his arms
If it’s been a long day sometimes he’ll just want to lay on his bed with his head on you while you run your fingers through his hair
He honestly loves to just be around you and spend as much time with you as possible
Even if he’s absolutely exhausted and you want to do something like watch a movie he’ll try his hardest to stay awake to enjoy it with you
One of his favorite things to do is laying a blanket down on the sand and just looking up at the stars while you lie next to him
he thinks you look so beautiful under the moonlight and loves the quality alone time where you two can just talk
