The loosely organized combat unit that is the Redhearts is composed of individuals who come from all walks of life; the older Red Nineteen Crin is no exception to that assessment. Formerly a mining geologist by trade, his old line of work involved planning out the operations of civilian mining MTs and ACs as part of excavations on Ganymede. It turns out that being next to giant multi-story mecha, even those intended for simple mining, awakens in some an incredible urge to operate them - and so he did, discovering a natural aptitude for being a pilot in the process.

Crin eventually landed a gig with Bigeye Industries as a civilian contractor about a year before the Ision War, taking exclusively non-combatant jobs such as geological surveys and territory mapping. However, as the war dragged on, Bigeye steadily stretched the terms of its contractors’ roles and steadily forced them to take up combatant roles, hence his present role in the Redhearts. Even now, he serves more as auxiliary support, running territorial and surveillance surveys ahead of the rest of the group when called upon to do so.

His black-and-white red-accented bipedal AC, ANTIGONE, is nevertheless well-equipped with a set of simple-enough weaponry, though its specifications remain rather geared towards scanning and surveying than actual combat.
