What doesn’t kill you gives you a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a really dark sense of humor.
I can’t stop thinking about my moms death in terms of it being like she’s just on a trip somewhere and one of these days I’ll get to come home and see her again. Somehow I just can’t force it through my head that she’s gone for good and I’ll never get to talk to her or hug her or hear her voice again. I feel like I’m not handling the loss like I should because I can’t necessarily fathom she’s actually gone, for good, and never coming back. Is this wrong?
Hi there, no there’s nothing wrong with that, from what I read and what I went through personally everyone grieves in their own way. Dealing with loss and grief is a whole journey on it’s own just give yourself some time, maybe you aren’t ready at the moment to accept that she’s really gone but over time you will come in terms with your loss. Just don’t stress yourself out thinking I should be feeling this way or why aren’t I feeling this.
