Let’s Talk Sigils

What is a sigil? 🥀

Sigils are an inscribed or painted symbol considered to have magical powers.

Sigils can help with anything, from eating healthier to gaining patience.

How do I create a sigil? 🥀

There are many ways to create Sigils, but here’s two simple ways to create one for yourself.

Example #1 🥀

On a piece of paper write what you wish your sigil to do.

(Ex: I will be more patient)

Then simply this statement, your subconscious will recognize it but others might not.

(Ex: I wi b mo pac)

With these letters create a symbol, any symbol you feel is right for this.

After you create it put all your energy into it,

(Tip: create Sigils whole full of energy for better results)

Forget about your sigil, leave it somewhere hidden, under your phone case, the bottom of a back pack, etc.

If it doesn’t work immediately be patient

Example #2 🥀

Write down an affirmation

(Ex: I am patient and calm)

Remove all vowels and repeated letters

(Ex: M P ND CL)

Assign each letter a number

(Ex: draw a chart with 1-9 and go through the alphabet placing the letters under the numbers as you go through… 1-A, 2-B, 3-C…1-J, 2-K, etc…. MPNDCL = 475433)

Place numbers 1-9 into a design and connect the numbers in a design that seems right to you.

Now draw your final sigil on a piece of paper, exert all your energy into the sigil then burn the paper with a small flame to activate it.

Witch Tip: making your sigil look better

Construct your sigils inside a shape. Make this outer shape a different color or thickness to differentiate the sigil from the outline. Develop a Key for deciding which shape to use. For example: a circle = neutral/all-purpose, triangle = protection or ward, square = enhance ability (for motivation or creativity), rectangle = spell-work (for sealing a bottle or charging a spell), star = curse, heart = love, clover = luck Adapt your sigil shapes to whatever you want!

So I read this post https://in-her-broomcloset.tumblr.com/post/160210641160/witch-tip-making-your-sigil-look-better and I took it too seriously/misunderstood what it meant.  So here are the results of what I thought she was saying, lol.

Feel free to make your own sigil wheels and stuff like that. You can encircle the sigils in a circle or in the shape of the sigil wheel used (whichever you prefer). Happy sigil making! ^^

Basic Components

🌸 Bath Salts - when you want the thing to be immersed into the water, cleansing, the subconscious mind

🌸 Bubble Bath - when you want to be immersed IN the thing, manifesting, the conscious mind

🌸 Bath Bombs - when you want the thing to explode into existence, move rapidly, high energy

🌸 The Water - the carrier of your intent, cleanses, helps imbue the intent into you

🌸 Crystals - amplify and aid the intent (check water safety, don’t immerse your crystals that can’t handle it, if you choose to immerse them at all)

✨ Tea Magic ✨

there are plenty of ways to work to work a little magic into your day without doing a full on ritual, and your daily (hourly?) tea is one of them! here’s just a couple of suggestions with fruit, flowers, herbs, and their correspondences.

most teas fall under a few categories: tea plant, floral, fruit and herbal. teas can be considered type of potion called an infusion. various types of teas have different steeping times and water temperatures, but you can always chill them and drink them cold too! most teas have some form of the tea plant in them mixed with other ingredients, but herbal teas do not.

teas like white, green, oolong, and black tea come from the same plant ”Camellia sinensis”, and the flavors/properties depend on how the leaves have aged/fermented. these are listed in the amount of least➡️ most fermentation.

white tea - air magic, purification, protection, clarity, realization, meditation, cleansing green tea - fire magic, healing, love, catalysts, mindfulness, passion, sexual health and new energies oolong tea - water magic, wisdom, reflection and deep concentration, beauty and emotional connections black tea -  strength, stability, endings, finished business, and banishment, expelling negativity. (x)

fruit teas will correspond to the meanings of those fruits, strawberry for love, lemon for cleansing, etc. fruit teas often have the tea plant in them.

floral teas will correspond to the meanings of those fruits, rose for love, lavender for peace, etc. floral teas often have the tea plant in them.

herbal teas will correspond to the meanings of those herbs, mint for wealth, rosemary for protection, etc. herbal teas usually do not have any of the tea plant in them.

Felix Felicis - A quick tea potion to improve your luck for 24 hours.

I know everyone and their mother has done a Felix Felicis Spell, but screw it, its St. Patrick’s Day and everyone needs a little luck.  * Inspired by the potion from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Series.* Needed:  - A Tea of your choice! ( I recommend Green, Black, or something with Orange, pineapple or pomegranate in it) - Honey - Cinnamon - A bit of sugar - A spoon

Steps:  - Brew your tea as you like it and let it cool just a bit.  - Add a spoonful of honey, a pinch of cinnamon, and a spoonful of sugar.  - First, stir your potion counter clockwise and say/think: “ Bad luck begone, From me and all I own, your affects are well-known,  and now you will leave me alone.” - Now, stir clockwise, and say/think: “Good luck I invite, to free me of this blight,  and give me the insight,  to bring about my own delight!”  - Drink your tea and go about a luckier person for the day!

Coffee Spell to Change Your Luck

It’s frustrating when you’re having a run of bad luck, especially if it seems like nothing will ever get better. Don’t worry: sometimes the universe just needs a little kick in the pants to get things back on the right track. Do this working to change your own fortune.

You’ll need:

A cup of unused coffee grounds

A clean washcloth

A green ribbon

Place the coffee grounds in the wash cloth to form a bundle, twist the corners together.

Tie the bundle shut with the ribbon.

When you shower, use the coffee bundle to scrub your skin from head to toe. As you do say:

Bad luck goes on down the drain, washing all bad luck away

Plenty of room for good luck on me, Good Luck is all I plan to see

Once you’ve scrubbed your entire body, stay in the shower until you see the last of the coffee grounds disappear down the drain, taking your bad luck away with them.

Luck and Positivity Tea Enchantment

The beautiful @witchcastors requested a good luck/ good vibes so here it is! This is my favorite daily little spell!

Enchanted Tea:

This is my personal favorite because its easy to do and really add a gentle intent that will work consistently through the day. 

What you need:

Peppermint or black tea (for luck use peppermint, for energy, stability and positivity use black tea)

honey, sugar or other type of sweetner (to add sweetness to your day, optional)

something to stir with

Add your sweetener and stir clockwise speaking or think your intent aloud. Something as simple as “Bring me a sweet, lucky day” or “Today I will have energy and feel peaceful” are good. It can be as simple or complicated as you like. As you drink your tea think of the things that you would like to feel or see happen, visualize as best as you can. When you are done drinking take a moment to ground and center (can be as simple as a few mindful breaths) and then go about your day!
