I ship these two so freaking hard it physically hurts me they haven’t even glanced at each other yet so I don’t even understand why the fuck I even ship them. Anyway, these are my headcanons for the ship. Enjoy.
There’s some nsfw stuff here so you’ve been warned.
- Crypto’s not a very touchy kinda person, especially in public. It’s not that he doesn’t want to or can’t do it, it’s just that he’s an awkward lil boy. Also, PDA isn’t his thing as being stared at makes him nervous and he doesn’t wanna risk Wattson’s safety if he’s ever found out.
- That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the affection though
- On the contrary, Wattson’s, like, super affectionate. Sometimes to the point where Crypto gets nervous from it.
- The near opposite happens behind closed doors though. Crypto’s still not good at physical affection but God damn he sure pays attention to what makes Wattson let out the best sounds. Wattson still gets touchy but in more of a shy way- she’ll interlock fingers, rub his arms, but when there’s more skin to skin contact she suddenly doesn’t know how to function anymore.
- Wattson has almost literally no clue about Crypto’s past, including his name, and he wants to keep it that way. It’s better for her safety and Wattson, despite not really liking the idea, respects that and doesn’t push too hard. Key word being ‘too.’ The only thing she managed to find out was that he’s running from someone, but she hasn’t found out who yet. This is also why he’s referred to as Crypto instead of his actual name.
- Wattson likes the thrill of having a hand around her throat when they’re doin the do but not actually being choked. Maybe a light squeeze at most but she blacks out easily.
- Crypto likes trying to keep Wattson quiet while also doing shit that makes her scream. That’s like a huge turn on for him idk why.
- Crypto and Wattson can speak just a teensie bit of each other’s languages because the little nerds wanted to impress/surprise each other on dates.
- Based on closely studying the trailers (i.e. Watching them on repeat because I fucking LOVE them) I have deduced that Wattson is like half a head shorter than Crypto.
- CRYPTO. LOVES. WATTSON’S. LAUGH.
- Crypto gets super green anytime Mirage just breathes in Wattson’s direction because the two actually get along really well together and Crypto legit just hates it. (He doesn’t like… stop her from hanging out with him or anything. He just gets clingy whenever he’s around)
- Wattson likes being a little spoon but every once in a while she’ll just hold him to her and play with his hair and be comforting.
- Crypto likes it.
- Due to not wanting to get caught out in public, they don’t ever really go on dates. They do, however, do lots of at home dates, like making dinner and enjoying it in the candlelight and just having a romantic night.
- They 100% do little pet names bc Wattson thinks it’s cute and Crypto likes making her smile with it.
- Wattson still has her little Nessie friend and Crypto recognizes it as the same type of Nessie he used to have. (If you look at Crypto’s desk in “Forever Family” you can see it)
- Crypto bites but not very hard. If he does, it’s only in places that aren’t visible (like inner thighs, boobs, etc).
I decided to put these two asks together because they’re the same (if you wanted a Crypto x Wattson fic then I’d be willing but I would appreciate if you would put that in your ask :))

- Wattson doesn’t feel too much of one way when Crypto first arrives, she sees him as another teammate and she’s okay with that.
- It’s not until Crypto saves her life that she starts to develop feelings for him, he took a bullet that was meant for her and even though his face didn’t show it his eyes were a flurry of worry and pain-causing her heart to tighten.
- He’ll never admit it but seeing her almost get shot point-blank scared the hell out of him.
- His flirting technique was pretty bad and it included him acting like a teenager by slipping notes of affection into her dorm when he knew no one would see him.
- Wattson figured out it was him from the very first letter because I’m his rush to be ‘secretive’ he forgot to change his pad of paper out which indented Korean letters onto the sheet he gave her.
- She could see how nervous he was so she didn’t say anything, allowing him more time to come up with letters until he finally asked her to meet him and see who her ‘secret admirer’ was.
- She was giddy, her nails bitten shorter than normal as she went to his desired location; a French cafe near the lower belly of Solace.
- The date was very awkward, both of them nervous; Wattson couldn’t stop talking and Crypto barely said a word the entire time.
- They were just going to end it and not talk about how disastrous this was until they got on the topic of machines, that’s when the date got good.
- They ended the night happy and giggle as they went their separate ways, more dates planned and successful as they grew closer.
- Wattson is the first one to say “I love you” and it was during a scary movie that had her curled into his side as the screen flashed gore.
- Crypto wasted no time in agreeing with her, a quick “I love you as well” was pushed towards her and he tightened his grip on her.
- Whenever Wattson is feeling upset Crypto is quick to send his drone over to her with a handwritten letter expressing his love and admiration for her.
- Whenever Crypto is feeling hopeless Wattson is quick to pepper his face in little kisses, each kiss ended with words of encouragement and afterward, she always makes him a cup of hot chocolate to make him warm and comfortable.
