Gravity falls au where 28 yr old stan comes earlier in the year before the portal incident. And it turns out that he and Fiddleford met on a 3 week long travelling banjo retreat that Stan snuck on for some free shelter and food (the banjo people noticed he wasn't there earlier but just gave him a banjo and welcomed him). But at that time Stan was going by the alias of 'Panley Stines'.

So the first interaction between them is sort of like:

Ford: Fiddleford this is my brother St-

Fidds (eyes widening): PAN?!

Stan (at the same time): MCBUCKET??!

Stan and Fidds (in unison): What are you doing here? How do you know Ford?

Ford (wildly looking between them): what the- how do you guys know eachother??

Stan: Long story-

Fidds (without looking away from Stan): Month long travelling banjo retreat.

Ford: Alright, that sprouted more questions than it answered, but alright.

(Stan and Fidds just stare silently at eachother in shock and confusion)

Ford: okkk- let's start with the easiest question, Fiddleford, why did you call my brother 'Pan'?

Fidds: Why it's a nickname for Panley of course.

Ford: ???

Fidds (to Stan, exasperated): Don't tell me your name wasn't even Panley Stines!

Stan (rubbing the back of his neck): uh yeah about that-

Fidds (angry parent voice): PANLEY STINES! DID YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM THE CHEWBACA INCIDENT-

Stan (upset in a melodramatic way)): We swore to NEVER mention that day again-

Fidds (also very melodramatic): WELL HOW CAN I NOT WHEN YOU-

Stan: YOU MADE AN OATH. YOU WOULD BETRAY IT, AFTER ALL THE SACRIFICES WE MADE-

Stan: YOU WOULD DISRESPECT JEREMY'S SACRIFICE-
