Welcome to my forest. You may refer to me as Aislinn and I don't care which pronouns.
[Rift connection established]
>Drones engage exploration of alien dimension.
>Soldiers stand guard at rift until further notice.
>Engineers maintain rift to ensure stability.
>Report back to main O.R.C. base after safe territory is established.
*The forest does not seem happy with what is happening.*
*Something in the Aislinn’s forest seems to be shifting.* - @faery-osha
*Utur frowns, and approaches the forest. What's going on in there...?*
*The forest has grown much thicker, Utur can barely see five feet into the wood the trees are so densely packed. Also, the branches up above appear to be growing crooked, abnormal patterns. The sound of rustling reveals the presence of something within the wood*
Is this an OSHA violation.. or am I just someone who was a vine a lot
No clue, this is an rp account. You should ask @osha-official-the-sequel or @official-osha
*Something wanders around the forest. A being made from segmented metallic cage-like iron frames full of mossy stones. It's right hand looks mechanical and has 6 fingers, it's left 'arm' is a large clockwork drill with a crank, made mostly of copper. It's head a simple oil lantern lighting up everything in front of it. However it's proportions are familiar.*
@the-tunavick-gang
The bushes rustle with uncertainty. Something is creeping through the brush, watching.

[@offical-osha comes running through the forest, chasing a deer.]
They can feel someone watching. The gaze seems more curious than anything. Aislinn is used to predators but Offy’s tactics are very different from what Aislinn has seen.
[they easily are able to catch up to it, tackling it to the ground and sinking their teeth into its neck. they look up as it begins to grow weak, frowning. they begin to search for their observer idly while the deer goes limp.]
Aislinn hops down from a nearby tree.
Nice catch there!
[they turn to aislinn with a friendly grin, though they curl themself around the deer with protective distrust.]
hey, thanks, man. who're you?
I am Aislinn, the guardian of this forest. I am not after your catch just so you know, I mostly photosynthesize
like a plant? [they relax, though still alert, and rock back to sit on their haunches.]
Yeah, like a plant. Being a forest spirit has advantages.
a forest spirit? [they tilt their head and examine aislinn.] that's cool. i'm offy.
[they offer their hand. it's twice the size of hers.]
I’m Aislinn, it’s nice to meet you!
[Aislinn wakes up in a small cell in the @supernatural-history-foundation, her body burnt and aching. Two representatives of the foundation are muttering quietly to each other.]
She starts coughing violently. Her eyes dart across the room looking for anything to draw a bit of strength from.
[One turns to face her while another turns away.]
You're awake, [they both say in unison.]
Aislinn glares at them
You better take me back or I am not even going to consider not killing everything here.
You couldn't if you tried, [the one turned away says as they walk to stand by the wall.]
I want to talk peacefully, [says the one looking at Aislinn.]
If you wanted anything peaceful, you should have left me and my forest alone.
There's the soft, but very distinct sound of an arrow piercing flesh just outside the border of the forest. A few moments later, a deer collapses to the floor and Martein walks over calmly with a knife, cleanly slitting its throat with one swift movement, whispering something inaudible, before beginning to skin it with extreme skill. Martein never quite enters the forest, though she does come very close.
@bow-blades-and-blood
Thorns sprout from the ground, grappling onto Martein.
Aislinn steps out of the forest, something about them seems more powerful and dangerous than the last time Martein last saw them.
That deer was from my domain and you are not welcome anywhere near here.
Martein just looks slightly annoyed more than anything.
Does your domain not obey the basic dynamic of predator and prey? And I'm not doing anything wrong here, I haven't entered your forest nor am I threatening you or it. I have only hunted an animal for food, no more, no less.
Why should I believe that? You are not welcome here for a reason.
I only lie for professional reasons. I'm not on a job, so I have no reason to lie to you.
I don’t trust that for a second.
Martein gives the best shrug she can given the circumstances.
Your loss, then. Now can I get back to my food please?
Aislinn hesitates before letting Martein go.
You technically didn’t enter my forest, so you can go. Just take your prey and don-
Before Aislinn finishes what they are saying, they suddenly collapse to the ground. Leaves begin sprouting from their hair.
Martein immediately darts over to them, checking to see what the fuck just happened.
Aislinn is lying on the ground, incapacitated.
She begins doing standard checks to look for any possible causes of the current situation.
The only evidence of a problem Martein can find is the leaves coming from Aislinn’s hair.
Martein, having no idea whatsoever as to what just happened, carefully lifts Aislinn up before walking into the forest with no regard for the consequences or her own safety, heading straight for the stones at the centre, taking great effort to make sure that Aislinn remains unharmed and as undisturbed as possible by the carrying.
Aislinn is out, so they remain completely undisturbed. The circle see to have a strange, black fog, something is very wrong.
Martein just gently puts them down in the centre of the circle, having no idea what else to do, then backs away slowly, observing what happens very carefully.
The fog quickly obscures Aislinn from sight. A strange figure appears, but only for a moment.
Martein, however, has senses more than good enough to notice the figure's brief appearance, and immediately crouches into a defensive stance, bow in hand.
The figure, however, is long gone, the small frame of Aislinn stands and spots Martein with her bow.

*Alam wanders into Aislinn's forest, careful to watch where he's walking.* Aislinn, you here? I thought I would come visit, it has been a little while since I said hello!
The forest somehow feels more wild and dangerous than normal. Alam spots Aislinn; she seems slightly annoyed by something but she brightens up immediately when he sees Alam.
Oh, hi!
Hello Aislinn! Nice to see you!
*He tilts his head slightly*
Something up? You seem a little annoyed, everything okay?
I’m fine, just ran into the person who hurt me before. Luckily they didn’t pull any shit this time.
Glad you are okay. That must have been stressful, anything you need to help you unwind? I am happy to help
Oh, thanks. You’re really a great friend.
Aislinn’s hair appears to have sprouted leaves, they definitely did not have that before.
I am happy to help!
*He smiles warmly, though there's a slight glint of worry in his eyes*
Your hair is sprouting leaves, is that normal? I have not seen that happen before. It is not a bad thing if it is not hurting you, of course! I just do not want to complement you on it if it is something not good for you.
Oh, that’s not normal. I don’t know what caused it, but I just randomly passed out and I started sprouting leaves.
Huh... how are you feeling? Anything different to usual? I figure you likely would not want to go inside to visit the clinic, but I could ask them to send a doctor out here to quickly check on you, if you are concerned.
*It's clear he's kind of concerned*
It may be completely normal, or just something harmless and new, but I will be the first to admit I get a little nervous when things like this happen. I care about you and I want to make sure you are okay, with your permission of course
I don’t know what a doctor is but you can send someone if they are respectful and it will help you feel better. It doesn’t feel like anything bad, in fact, I have been feeling a bit stronger lately.
Huh, maybe it is a good sign then... that would be good, I think. I hope so, at least. Perhaps you might have a few new abilities soon?
Yeah, maybe! That would be really cool!
It would! I assume you would get some sort of plant powers, I am curious about what kind though...
That’s a good question, we will just have to wait and see.
