As much as I hate Madison, I absolutely adore the way Dave Erickson wrote the dynamic between her and Troy.

In the third season, he showed in his own very special style what their connection looks like. Of course, many people say that it was something sexual, but even an idiot can understand that it was not.. The main idea in their dynamics is precisely that it is strange and uncomfortable??

After seeing Jeremiah's recordings, Madison deliberately acted like a mother around Troy - she put some napkin on his knee, told him that she needed him, and controlled him. She knew absolutely what she was doing to him and took advantage of it☹️

I think Troy felt some hatred towards her for the way she acted as if she was above and better than him, for the way she interfered with his plans in every possible way, but because she reminded him of his mother, he was drawn to her, even if it was fucking uncomfortable to be around her.

That's why s8 is complete bullshit. Where did that dynamic go? Why does Troy act like he hates her first, then like he doesn't care about revenge, he just wants a place to live! And then he even tries to be friends with her, kinda.

Like, in the swamp, he was being as friendly as possible with her, even though he was stuck there and almost died because of her, and yet he saved her life, although he could have just left her to drown there
