[Spiders and Silk soared through the air... The winds carried them in the right direction, thankfully. Kami, Apate, and the Weaverlings]
sister apate... i suspect you have important business to attend to when we get to hallownest... do you wish for me to take care of our children while you work?
@failed-pharlid
I w0uld request that, though it would be most kind if you would help me a little in my work when we arrive.
It is not simply a one we4ver job.
of course... what would you see me do?
[The winds got stronger, they were starting to get close.]
We m4y talk about it in a more private spot. Th3re are eyes in the skies.
very well...
[Kami looked up at the sky. A rare sight for her. The night sky was beautiful.]
these are stars, arent they... ive never seen a sight so grand... ive heard theres a town on the surface of this old kingdom... if time permits, may i spend a bit of time there?

[The winds got stronger, they were starting to get close.]
[A swarm of scuttling came by once more. Kami, and 199 weaverlings were nearby.]
sister apate... i believe we are ready for travel... are you ready?
@failed-pharlid
*The silk forms 4 sets of pale spider legs running along Apate's new form.*
¡s dear Pollip coming?
of course...! they're right here.
[Kami held up Pollip. It seemed happy.]
one of our children went missing... they went up to mount fay, i heard... i hope cray is alright...
*Apate looks away for a second, thinking.*
0h...
K4mi, keep a close eye on all of them...
I couldn't tak3 another death...
cray is...!
[Kami seemed shocked. Another young one killed. Perhaps, with Apate healing Pollip... Perhaps Kami could still save them.]
...i am sorry, sister apate... do you know what... who had hurt them? maybe... i can still save them...
If we press 0nward, the plan I created shall save them and many others.
*She pauses for a second to recalibrate her coordinates.*
Th¡s way.
*She leads Kami and the Weaverlings toward a crack in the wall, silk making up her new body collapsing onto the ground and slithering inside, carrying her mask and cloak with it.*
*At the other end, it reforms.*
[Kami, and her children, followed Apate. Their smaller shells found it easier to squeeze through the wall.]
your plan... i have not heard anything of it... will it truly save our children?
[Kami spun a small anklet of Silk. Just incase it were needed...]
*She stops and bends down to face Kami.*
Kami, ¡ have lied to you about certain aspects of my plans during the rebellion, and it is time to come clean.
I int3nded not to primarily create a group government over weavers and weaverkin.
I intended to replace m0ther. Before you grow angry, I would l¡ke you to know that this would have still been a fair rule and not tyrannical. All of our sist3rs and my children could have been be happy. All of them could have been in parad¡se.
But you know what h4ppened.
sister apate... you wished to bind Mother's siken strength? ...let us hope whatever you seek in hallownest... will grant us the peace you had... wished to grant us.
[Kami followed Apate, after a short headcount of all of her children. They were all there, except Cray, whose husk is still on the chilling snow of Mount Fay.]
*She passes through many stone tunnels before opening up on the top of Pharloom, the nameless town.*
Alr¡ght. I must m0dify all of your cloaks.
why is that so? surely, our cloaks arent an issue... is hallownest dangerous for us, perhaps?
[Regardless of her skepticism, Kami removed her cloak, and held it up for Apate to modify.]
No, we must harness the wind for this.
*Apate stitched together a drifter's cloak for Kami and all of her remaining children.*
good to know hallownest is safe... wind... how far is our destination, anyway? to require such lengths...
[Kami, and her children, donned their new cloaks. Kami scuttled over to a few children who had trouble putting it on to assist them.]
I kn0w not exactly, but we should be there if winds are well after a few hours of floating.
very well... lead the way, sister.

*The Silken strands retreat back into their hiding places, not wanting themself to be seen due to suspect of a large army approaching.*
[A Pharlid scuttled in, aswell as a horde of Little Weavers. The Pharlid held a limp, empty Weaverling in her claws.]
children... let us bid farewell to your sibling... they will be with their mother once more...
[Kami looked for Apate's body, so that Polllip may be laid to rest next to her.]
*Looking inside the darkness, you see Apate's mask, chipped and covered in her own blood.*
sister... i'm sorry...
[Pollip, along with a cloth, was placed next to Apate's mask. A few Little Weavers approached the mask.]
take care of them, sister apate... we all miss you so much.
*She a few silken strands slip around Pollip, attempting to get under the cloak.*
[Kami sat next to Apate and Pollip, not knowing of the Silk moving behind her.]
sister... did i fail?
*The husk of Pollip clicks, the silk finding a way to pry open her mask shell and refill the inside.*
what is-
[Kami looked at the Silk trying to open Pollip's shell in a blend of terror and amazement.]
Mother...? no... it is not her... is it you, sister apate? what are you doing?
*The silk pools up inside Pollip, eventually cutting off.*
*Pollip sits up.*
...pollip?
[Kami raised her claw over her once-fallen child. She was in disbelief to see them in movement again.]
you're okay!
[Kami hugged Pollip. Relief and love and joy flowed through her like a river.]
*A voice echoes through the cavern.*
Kam¡
sister!
[Kami sent Pollip outside of the room, to reunite with their siblings. Afterwards, she scuttled close to Apate's discarded mask.]
is it... is it really you? you had been gone for so long... what happened to you?
I don't w4nt you to see me like this.
But my mind enter3d the silken strands. I woke up with n0 body, no senses.
i'm sorry... i'm sorry i failed to keep you... and the little ones safe... i want you to know... even if you're without a shell... you're still my sister... i'll never stop caring about you...

But, I n3ed your help.
of course will help... anything for you... what is it, sister?
¡ need to go to Hallownest.
