I got laid off two weeks ago, I'm six months pregnant, and more and more I hate those bitches in management and HR for how fucking soulless they have to be to be able to do this to someone. My severance and my health insurance runs out the week before my due date...

If my job was to ruin someone's life at THE MOST inopportune time, I'd find a new job but maybe that's just me...

Corporations and businesses aren't sentient. People are still making these decisions. I know the four people that sat around a table and decided which of us would be blindsided by unemployment. I know the two admins and two HR ladies. My boss didn't know. His boss didn't know. They found out an hour before it happened and had to sit in a meeting with me thirty minutes later and pretend they didn't know their pregnant employee was about to be laid off.

I don't know how those four people sleep at night but I guess it's easier when you're actual pieces of shit with no heart, no soul, and a god tier ability to rationalize this to themselves.

I hate even more that the lead of the team I was on probably gave the team the next day off to "cope" and not a single one of them has reached out in any way. People from other teams that I've never had a conversation with before have reached out to offer any help because the studio KNEW I'm pregnant, but not that lead. Not the guy whose fault it probably was I was on that chopping block at all.

Because he wanted to have an affair with a coworker that reported to him and she got mad when I spoke up.

I am so tired. So so so tired. BUT. It's nice to see that the game that released for them on the 22nd was 60% off two days later and I can only hope the same happens to this next one on the 30th. We love a tragedy...
