as the girl haechan had pulled for the night walked away, yn took the opportunity to walk up him to talk. she quickly walked around multiple drunk sweaty bodies and finally made her way to the kitchen counter haechan was leaning on with two other boys. one she recognized to be mark lee, the one who performed at ncu fest, but the other she’s never seen before.
"haechan? hi!" she says with a big smile, waving at him. the two boys looked at haechan with wide eyes before grinning to each other. haechan, on the other hand, looked at yn, not flashing a smile or anything.
"sup yn. how’s the party?" he said nonchalantly to the girl in front of him before taking a sip out of his red solo cup.
"it was okay so far, a little scary. but now, i’ve found you so maybe it’ll be a little better!" yn says excitedly, oblivious to the way haechan is looking at her. he scoffs at her words as a response.
"you were looking just fine with chenles arms around you. go back to him. i have someone else to entertain tonight." haechan laughs coldly towards the girl as the girl he previously had with him comes back and holds his waist. now, it’s clear to yn that he’s being weird.
"oh um… ok. you’re weird." she says to him, now disgusted and embarrassed about the whole situation. she scoffs and walks off while haechan doesn’t spare her another look. but the two boys he was with looked at him with confusion
"what the fuck dude? you’re just gonna talk to her like that after literally yearning for her the whole week?" jeno says to haechan, confused on why he was acting this way.
"bro, her and chenle were all up on each other. i’m not about to sit around and get played, i don’t care who she is." haechan says back bitterly.
"yo dude, her and chenle are literally like bestfriends. and maybe she was clinging onto him because her other friends are playing beer pong? and she doesn’t know anybody here? this seems like her first party ever too like dang bro. you just fumbled bad." mark says to haechan, shaking his head.
'fuck' haechan says to himself then pushes the girl off of him. it all clicked to him after what mark said. he doesn’t know why he got so jealous and defensive about it but it was a stupid move.
haechan walks around trying to find yn but doesn’t spot her anywhere but sees chenle with winter and jaemin and walks up to them to see if they know where she went.
"hey chenle, do you know where yn is?" haechan asks hopefully. chenle looks back at him with a stank face and scoffs.
"i do know where she is, but i don’t know why i would tell you" he replies, laughing in his face. yn already got to chenle before haechan did unfortunately.
"please bro, i know i fucked up, i need to make it up to her." haechan practically begs chenle. with the puppy eyes and everything.
"um don’t look at me like that dude. i’ll have you know, her brother came to pick her up. but that’s all. if you want to make it up to her, it better be good. and matter of fact, find a way to make it up to me too." chenle says before waving him off. haechan turns around and does the walk of shame upstairs so he could text yn to beg for her back.
