the way i can see so easily how percy could become dark JUST from the first chapter of tlt alone...dark percy deniers have no analytical reading skills tbh

and like i can go on and on about how it was set up so that the only truly logical conclusion of hoo was dark!percy to some extent and don't even get me started on whatever the fuck the new book is but for people to say that they can't see him going dark? the seed was planted in the first book my guys it's just that percy has a very strong moral compass and i think that he would have a hard time doing it how luke did.

so when i say dark!percy i don't necessarily mean percy being exactly like luke i mean that percy 1000% sees where luke was coming from and he would go about it in his own percy way. and that might not look like how you think it does when you think "dark!percy" because percy has a very interesting relationship with control and i think if he could help it he would never let himself get to the point where he couldn't stop himself (especially since he's scared of (i) himself (ii) his powers and (iii) hurting people).

but that ALSO isn't to say that he couldn't fuck shit up, ya know? because he definitely could and it wouldn't even take that much out of him okay he's SO powerful he has SO much potential energy just waiting to be released....he just refuses to let ALL of it go.

what im saying is that there is a VERY delicate balance and you should (at the very least) be able to see the range in which that balance would fall (a very very very dark gray area) , but to say that you can't picture percy going dark AT ALL is SUCH a disgrace to yourselves and to percy tbh because i feel like you're almost disgustingly underestimating him
