Years have passed since Dídyme saw Carlisle last, and when the opportunity to was, unknowingly, given by her brother Aro, she took it; For Alistair's sake, however… Dídyme takes an unneded breath through her nose, and a moment later the glow of her aura starts to dim. Then… he isn't here, Alistair tells her, and the aura flickers as Dídyme physically recoils; It was disappearing so gently, at first, but now, sensing the change in Dídyme's mood, it starts to reappear, almost timidly, like a hand placed on her shoulder from behind. ❝ What do you mean ? ❞ she asks, tilting her head. ❝ I thought… ❞ is it even true ? Alistair would have all the good reason to lie to her to protect not only Carlisle, but his coven. ❝ How do you even know ? ❞ then, in the same breath: ❝ how can I be sure you are even telling the truth ? ❞

  𝓐listair was getting suspicious about the questioning. Why was she asking so many of them, and how was he supposed to respond to all of them? From what he could sense, she was alone. He couldn't sense any other vampires in the vicinity— the wonderful thing about having a tracking ability. You know where people, and at least for him, things were at any moment. ❝I don't know where he and his family are. They didn't leave a note. So I'm left to assume that they merely stepped out, considering all of their keepsakes are still within the building.❞
